Friday August 23rd

 

Nashville Ensworth (TN) 27  Trinity 26 D’Andre Ferby ran for 194 yards and three touchdowns to lead Einsworth to a come-from-behind victory.  Trinity led 26-14 early in the final period but Ensworth rallied for the victory.

Tates Creek 22  Paul Laurence Dunbar 21 – Tates creek stopped Dunbar on a two point conversion attempt in the closing minute to ensure the victory.

Scott County 56  Lafayette 22 – Scott County ran for 300 yards as they continued their domination of Lexington schools.

Franklin County 54  North Bullitt 14 Chris Roberts and Lorenzo McCaskell ran for three and two touchdowns respectively and Rylan Rowe scored on interception returns of 34 and 46 yards to lead the Flyers.

Simon Kenton 23  Collins 21 Tyler Smith kicked an 18 yard field goal with 11 seconds remaining in the game to give Simon Kenton the victory.

Boyle County 41  Lincoln County 0 – Boyle County rolled up 27 points in the first quarter to effectively settle the issue.

Holmes 48  Covington Holy Cross 14 – QB Desean Brumfield threw for four touchdowns and ran for another touchdown to lead the Bulldogs to victory.

Christian Academy of Louisville 38  LCA 14Nathan Christmas threw for 196 yards and a score to lead the Centurions to victory.

Elizabethtown 34  Ft. Knox 10Berneil Cecil christened the new Panther field with a 78 yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the opening play to spark the Panthers to victory.

Covington Catholic 48  Boone County 0Adam Wagner scored on runs of 16, 4, and 18 yards and threw an 11 yard touchdown pass to Evan Braun to lead the Colonels.

Madison Southern 41  Rockcastle County 13 – Madison Southern broke an eighteen game losing streak to Rockcastle County thanks to a big effort from Damien Harris.  Harris scored on TD runs of 16, 42, 31, 51, and 2 yards, added a 65 yard kickoff return for a touchdown, and scored on a two point conversion.

Scott 21  West Jessamine 20 – Scott prevailed tonight despite a “monster” effort from Devin Taylor who carried the ball 33 times for 343 yards including TD runs of 9, 33, and 95 yards.

Corbin 14  Southwestern 0Taylor Waddle scored on an eight yard run and Jake Coppock added a 79 yard touchdown run to give the Redhounds the victory.

Pulaski County 41  Somerset 13Caleb Cox carried the ball 19 times for 143 yards and two touchdowns and Aaron Smith ran for three touchdowns to lead the Maroons to victory.

Williamsburg 43  Halls (TN) 14Dalton Sizemore threw for 415 yards and three touchdowns and added 70 yards and three more touchdowns on the ground to lead the victors.  Corey Shelton recorded 230 yards receiving including TD receptions of 61 and 47 yards.

South Oldham 30  East Jessamine 8QB Chase Lightfoot ran for three touchdowns to lead South Oldham.

Caldwell County 45  Christian County 22QB Elijah Sindelar threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns to lead the victors.

Owensboro Catholic 45  Apollo 6Houston Hartz completed 24 of 37 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Aces.

Harlan County 49  Madison Central 6 – Harlan County rolled up 417 yards while holding Madison Central to 89 yards.

Bowling Green 48  Lexington Catholic 21 Nacarius Fant caught four passes for 149 yards including touchdown receptions of 14, 10, 75, and 50 yards.

Highlands 47  University Christian (FL) – Highlands rallied from a10-0 deficit to claim the victory.  QB Drew Houliston threw for 373 yards including touchdown passes of 11, 61, 24, and 39 yards.

Bowling Green defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 48-21 tonight.  Bowling Green recorded 20 first downs and 446 yards of total offense.  The Purples were penalized eight times for 62 yards.  Lexington Catholic recorded 13 first downs and 229 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 10 times for 83 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Blue Tisdale led Bowling Green’s ground game with 136 yards on 15 carries.  Danny DeWalt carried the ball nine times for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Blake Pillow added 58 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Devin Hayes completed eight of 13 passes for 172 yards and four touchdowns.  Nacarius Fant caught four passes for 149 yards and four touchdowns.  Davaija Stevens led the defense with eight solo tackles.  Joseph McIntyre added three solo and two assisted tackles.  Darrier Scott recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  De. McCarley added three solo and one assisted tackle with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.

Marcelis Logan led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 27 yards on eight carries.  Noah Mitchell carried the ball seven times for 23 yards.  Reese Ryan completed 16 of 26 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  David Bouvier caught eight passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.  Sam Letton added three receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Messmer led the defense with seven solo tackles.  Braxton Couch added four solo and one assisted tackle.  Cody Mitchell recorded four solo tackles.

Harlan County dominated tonight in a 49-6 victory over Madison Central.  Harlan County recorded 19 first downs and 417 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 10 times for 54 yards and lost one fumble.  Harlan County held a 55-29 advantage in offensive plays tonight.  Madison Central recorded only three first downs and 89 yards on total offense.  The Indians were penalized twice for seven yards and had two passes intercepted.

Carson Whithead led Harlan County’s ground game with 112 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Zach Chitwood carried the ball eight times for 80 yards and one touchdown.  Scotty Bailey carried the ball 10 times for 77 yards and one touchdown.  Kelin Gist added 47 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Scotty Bailey completed five of 11 passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns.  Zach Chitwood caught two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown.  Cole Wilson caught a 32 yard touchdown pass.  Fred Massey led the defense with four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Cole Wilson added three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Mark Messer recorded two solo and one assisted tackle with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.

Kameron Presnell completed three of eight passes for 89 yards and a touchdown with one interception for Madison Central.  Caleb McClurg caught two passes for 16 yards.  John Williams caught a 75 yard touchdown pass.  Brandon Northern led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles.  Will Hinton added six solo and two assisted tackles.  Tyler Conner recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.

Bryan Station erased a 26-12 deficit in the third quarter behind the strong arm of QB Ora Johnson to earn a 47-26 victory over Murray.  Johnson threw for five of his six touchdowns in the second half.  Bryan Station recorded 14 first downs and 464 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized five times for 54 yards, and lost a fumble.  Murray recorded 20 first downs and 431 yards of total offense as they had 66 offensive plays compared to 34 plays for the Defenders.

K-CI Carmichael led Bryan Station’s ground game with 86 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Ora Johnson completed 11 of 16 passes for 373 yards and six touchdowns.  CJ Walker Jr. caught three passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns.  Tequan Claitt also caught three passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns.  Lavelle Cloyd added three receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown.  K-CI Carmichael caught a 78 yard TD pass.  Glenn Spencer led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles.  Jamar Brooks added seven solo and four assisted tackles.  DeAndre Anderson chipped in with six solo and one assisted tackle.  Andre Davis recorded six solo and one assisted tackle and recovered a fumble.  Greg Gerton added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Jamaree Robertson recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards.  Robertson also recovered a fumble.

Dylan Boone led Murray’s ground game with 170 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries.  Jonothan Curd carried the ball 19 times for 94 yards and a touchdown.  Dylan Boone completed three of four passes for 82 yards.  Peyton Glynn, Des Miles, and Tre Hornbuckle each caught a pass for 42, 23, and 17 yards respectively.  Jacob Mayes led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles.  Tre Hornbuckle added two solo and one assisted tackle with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards and recovered a fumble.

Elizabethtown defeated Ft. Knox by a score of 34-10 tonight.  Elizabethtown recorded nine first downs and 213 yards of total offense as the Panthers only ran 16 offensive plays.  The Panthers were penalized six times for 54 yards.  Ft. Knox recorded 20 first downs and 237 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized eight times for 48 yards and lost two fumbles.

Berneil Cecil led Elizabethtown’s ground game with 71 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Ja. Washington carried the ball three times for 38 yards and a touchdown.  Tevin Lucas added 31 yards and a touchdown on one rushing attempt.  Jack Wilson completed two of three passes for 54 yards.  Peyton Payne caught two passes for 54 yards.  Berneil Cecil also scored on a 78 yard kickoff return.

Deonza Irving led Ft. Knox’s ground attack with 124 yards on 31 carries.  Cam Pellogrino carried the ball eight times for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Eli. Escoffery added 44 yards on 14 carries.

Scott County raced out to a 28-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 56-22 victory over Lafayette.  Scott County recorded 19 first downs and 333 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized five times for 49 yards and lost three fumbles.  Lafayette recorded 14 first downs and 385 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized seven times for 55 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Keith Guy led Scott County’s ground game with 80 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.  Theo Price carried the ball seven times for 76 yards and a touchdown.  Scott Daniel added 72 yards on two carries and Noah Hughes carried the ball 15 times for 45 yards and three touchdowns.  Clay McKee completed two of three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown.  Clark Griffith caught a 27 yard touchdown pass and Scott Daniel scored on a 92 yard kickoff return.  Thomas Daniel led the defense with four solo tackles.  Tyler Carpenter, Walter Buffalo, and Jake Sabol each intercepted a pass.

Malik Robinson led the Lafayette ground attack with 114 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Clay Bolin completed 13 of 31 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  D. Jackson caught six passes for 140 yards.  Walker Wood added five receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Kylan Nelson led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Mason Alstatt added five solo and three assisted tackles.

Franklin County continues to light up the scoreboard with a 54-14 victory over North Bullitt in a home victory.  The victorious Flyers scored five touchdowns on the ground and added two defensive touchdowns on interception returns.  Franklin County recorded 15 first downs and 312 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized 11 times for 113 yards and lost two fumbles.  North Bullitt recorded five first downs and 117 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 30 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Lorenzo McCaskell led Franklin County’s ground game with 112 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.  Chris Roberts carried the ball nine times for 66 yards and three touchdowns.  Barrett Sanderson completed nine of 14 passes for 86 yards.  Lorenzo McCaskell caught four passes for 56 yards.  Logan Duke led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles.  Rylan Rowe intercepted two passes which he returned for touchdowns of 34 and 46 yards.

Dalton Casey led North Bullitt’s ground game with 60 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Brady Threlkel carried the ball three times for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Dalton Casey completed two of six passes for 11 yards with one touchdown.  Josh Exton caught one pass for nine yards.  Brady Threlkel led the defense with one solo and five assisted tackles.  Jack Barnett added four solo and one assisted tackle.

Tates Creek held on for a 22-21 victory over Dunbar tonight in Paul Rains’ debut as coach at Dunbar.  Dunbar pulled to within one point; 22-21 on a 27 yard touchdown pass from Emory Thompson to Marcellis Means with 52 seconds left on the clock.  The two point conversion attempt failed and Tates Creek held on for a hard earned victory. Casey Grimes scored on the last play of the first half on the old hook-and -ladder play.  Graham Gordon completed a 15 yard pass to TaVon Dunn at the 20 yard line who tossed a lateral to Grimes who took it in for the score and after Jake Ryan’s conversion kick went to the locker room with a 15-7 lead.  Tates Creek recorded 16 first downs and 307 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized six times for 39 yards and lost a fumble.  Paul L. Dunbar recorded 14 first downs and 342 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 57 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Casey Grimes led Tates Creek’s ground game with 88 yards on eight carries.  Martavius Carter carried the ball seven times for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Graham Gordon completed 15 of 18 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns.  TaVon Dunn caught six passes for 53 yards.  Austin Rogers added three receptions for 37 yards.  Jaren Shelby also caught three passes for 34 yards and a touchdown.  Casey Grimes caught a 20 yard touchdown pass.  Jacob Czarnecki led the defense with six solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  Eamon Nasr added two solo and six assisted tackles.  Max Sweet recorded four solo tackles and intercepted one pass.

A.J. Williams led Dunbar’s ground attack with 91 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Emory Thompson carried the ball 14 times for 82 yards and Cam Pergram added 47 yards on 11 carries.  Emory Thompson completed four of 10 passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  A.J. Williams caught two passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Marcellis Means caught one pass for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Derante Sanders led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Sanders also recovered a fumble.  Jmaurion Dunn added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Luke Daily and Emory Thompson each recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.
