Scott County coach Tim Glenn started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Nick Mosby, 6-1 Sr. Micah Glenn, 6-4 Jr. Lamarion McGrapth, 5-8 Sr. JZ Middleton, and 5-10 Sr. DaQuis Brown. Frederick Douglass coach Wes Scarberry countered with 6-3 So. Armelo Boone, 6-2 Sr. Kai Simpson, 6-3 So. Aveion Chenault, 6-1 Sr. Tylon Webb, and 6-2 So. Logan Busson.
Frederick Douglass defeated Scott County by the score of 69-39. Frederick Douglass shot 56.9% from the field including one of nine from the three point line. The Broncos connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 35.7% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 Frederick Douglass turnovers.
Kai Simpson led a balanced Frederick Douglass scoring attack with 14 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Armelo Boone added 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Aveion Chenault recorded 12 points and six rebounds. Tylon Webb added 12 points, three rebounds, and three steals. Logan Busson chipped in with six points and three rebounds.
Nick Mosby led Scott County with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Lamarion McGrapth added eight points and two steals.
