Galena coach Jamie Watson started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Maggie Furlong, 5-9 Fr. Gracie Furlong, 6-0 Sr. Hannah Lacey, 5-6 So. Taylor Burcham, and 5-6 So. Addie Hefel.  Brimfield coach Maribeth Dura countered with 5-11 Sr. Sophie Bedell, 5-9 Sr. Jaclyn Fabry, 6-0 Sr. Ella Lune, 5-5 So. Elynn Peterson, and 5-7 Jr. Elly Doe.

 

Brimfield trailed 22-14 after three quarters but staged a furious rally to earn a 32-31 victory over Galena.  The score was tied 31-31 when Elynn Peterson was fouled with 2.1 seconds remaining on the clock.  Peterson missed the first shot bur hit the second one and Jaclyn Fabry intercepted a pass at the buzzer to seal the victory.  There were four lead changes and six ties in this game.  Brimfield shot 34.3% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 18 Galena turnovers.  Galena shot 28.6% from the field including five of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Pirates connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 22 Brimfield turnovers. 

 

Ella Lune led Brimfield with 10 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, and six blocked shots.  Elly Doe added eight points including two three point baskets and two assists.  Sophie Bedell recorded six points, five rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Jaclyn Fabry chipped in with five points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Elynn Peterson added three points and seven steals.

 

Taylor Burcham led Galena with 15 points including two three point baskets and five steals.  Addie Hefel added six points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and four steals.  Maggie Furlong recorded six points and three rebounds.

Winnebago coach Judy Krause started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Miyah Brown, 5-10 Jr. Campbell Schrank, 5-11 Sr. Sarah Seger, 5-5 Sr. Annika Bielskis, and 5-10 Sr. Renee Rittmeyer.  Quincy (Notre Dame) coach Eric Orne countered with 5-9 Sr. Eryn Cornwell, 5-8 Jr. Lia Quintero, 6-0 Jr. Abbey Schreacke, 5-7 Fr. Sage Stratton, and 5-8 Jr. Blair Eftink.

 

Quincy (Notre Dame) defeated Winnebago by the score of 63-56.  Winnebago led 29-28 at halftime but Quincy (Notre Dame) outscored Winnebago 20-10 in the third quarter to gain control of the game.  There were eight lead changes and four ties in this game.  Quincy (Notre Dame) shot 43.2% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Raiders connected on 29 of 34 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Winnebago turnovers.  Winnebago shot 33.9% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 14 of 24 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Quincy (Notre Dame) turnovers.

 

Abbey Schreacke led Quincy (Notre Dame) with 35 points including 14 of 14 free throws, 11 rebounds, two blocked shots, and four steals.  Blair Eftink added 13 points including seven of eight free throws, six rebounds, and two assists.  Lia Quintero recorded seven points, five rebounds, and two steals.  Eryn Cornwell chipped in with six points and six rebounds.

 

Renee Rittmeyer led Winnebago with 16 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, five rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Miyah Brown added 12 points including six of nine free throws, 11 rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Campbell Schrank recorded 10 points and six rebounds.  Sarah Seger chipped in with 10 points, four rebounds, and two steals.

Mundelein (Carmel ) defeated Nazareth Academy by the score of 43-39.  There were six lead changes and four ties in this game.  Carmel shot 57.1% from the field including one of five from the three point line.  The Corsairs connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored five points off six Nazareth Academy turnovers.  Nazareth Academy shot 33.3% from the field including five of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Roadrunners connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 14 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Carmel turnovers.

 

Grace Sullivan led Carmel with 13 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Jordan Wood added 12 points, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Mia Gillis recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

 

Gracie Carstensen led Nazareth Academy with 11 points including three three point baskets and three steals.  Amalia Dray added nine points and three rebounds.  Caroline Workman recorded eight points including two three point baskets and two steals.  Danielle Scully chipped in with six points including four of four free throws, six rebounds, and two assists.

Lincolnshire (Stevenson) defeated Barrington by the score of 55-43.  Lincolnshire (Stevenson) shot 47.8% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line.  The Patriots connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 16 Barrington turnovers.  Barrington shot 37.8% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Fillies connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored five points off 10 Lincolnshire (Stevenson) turnovers.

 

Simone Sawyer led Lincolnshire (Stevenson) with 26 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and five steals.  Ava Bardic added 13 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds.  Kate Arne chipped in with eight points.  Emory Klatt recorded five points, nine rebounds, two assists, and four steals.  Kendall Williams pulled down seven rebounds.

 

Sophie Swanson led Barrington with 14 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and five steals.  Molly O’Riordan added 12 points including three of four free throws, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Gwen Adler recorded six points and five rebounds.  Allison Funk chipped in with six points on two three point baskets.
