Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Jack Gohmann, 6-4 So. Hudson Sparks, 6-10 So. Reece Potter, 6-1 Sr. Ryan Russell, and 6-2 Sr. Ben Johnson. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-4 Sr. Kole Browne, 6-4 Jr. Will Hardin, 6-6 So. Trey Skaggs, 6-0 Se. Taishon Chenault, and 6-2 Sr. Braeden Ray.
Lexington Catholic defeated Madison Central by the score of 80-65. Lexington Catholic shot 60.3% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Knights connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 46.8% from the field including 14 of 25 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored six points off five Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 28 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and eight assists. Jack Gohmann added 14 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Hudson Sparks recorded 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Reece Potter chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and two steals. 6-8 So. John McCrear added five points and three rebounds. Ryan Russell recorded four points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocked shots, and one steal.
Will Hardin led Madison Central with 20 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals. Braeden Ray added 18 points on six three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists. Taishon Chenault recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. Kole Browne chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, and five assists.
