Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton started the following lineup: 6-7 So. Michael Moreno, 6-5 Fr. Curt Lewis, 6-9 Jr. Tre King, 5-11 Fr. Wendell Green Jr., and 6-1 Jr. Cooper Robb.  Tennessee Tech coach John Pelphrey countered with 6-6 Fr. Austin Harvell, 6-4 Jr. Damaria Franklin, 6-10 Gr. Shandon Goldman, 6-0 Jr. Jr. Clay, and 6-2 So. Keishawn Davidson.

 

Eastern Kentucky University shot 69% from the field in the first half and raced out to a 56-36 halftime lead on their way to an 83-72 victory over Tennessee Tech.  Eastern Kentucky shot 56.4% from the field including 12 of 23 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Tennessee Tech turnovers.  Tennessee Tech shot 44.1% from the field including six of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Golden Eagles connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Michael Moreno led Eastern Kentucky with 18 points including five three point baskets and three rebounds.  Tre King added 13 points and five rebounds.  Curt Lewis recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  6-7 Jr. Cheikh Faye chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.  Wendell Green Jr. added seven points and six assists.  6-0 Sr. Russhard Cruickshank recorded seven points, five rebounds, and three assists.  6-10 So. Tariq Balogun chipped in with seven points and three rebounds.

 

Jr. Clay led Tennessee Tech with 23 points including two three point baskets and two assists.  Damaria Franklin added 16 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Austin Harvell recorded 11 points and five rebounds.  Keishawn Davidson chipped in with seven points, seven assists, and three steals.
