Madison central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-7 Jr. Taleya Todd, 5-9 Sr. Logan Hudson, 5-6 Sr. Kelsey Powell, and 5-6 Sr. Madison Barnard. Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble countered with 5-10 So, Casey Coleman, 5-7 Sr. Emma Bullens, 5-11 8th Grade Hallie Brown, 5-4 Jr. Shelby Newland, and 5-6 So. Lindsey Jones.
Rockcastle County raced out to a 20-7 first quarter lead and was never challenged in a 55-34 victory over Madison Central. Rockcastle County shot 43.8% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 18 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 27.5% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 18 Rockcastle County turnovers.
Casey Coleman led Rockcastle County with 14 points, six rebounds. three assists, and four steals. 5-6 Sr. Keelee King added 10 points and five rebounds. Shelby Newland recorded nine points, seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Lindsey Jones chipped in with six points and four rebounds.
Madison Barnard led Madison Central with 11 points and three assists. Jekauri McKeithen added nine points, 10 rebounds, and two blocked shots.
