Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-11 Fr. Alex Wolff, 5-10 Fr. Josie Gilvin, 6-0 Jr. Kristen Clemons, 5-5 Jr. Destinee Marshall, and 5-6 Sr. Ashlee Harris.  Christian Academy of Louisville coach Perry White countered with 5-10 Jr. Shelby Calhoun, 5-9 Sr. Sarah McDonald, 6-2 Sr. Arina Khlopkova, 5-6 Sr. Hayley Ice, and 5-8 Jr. Mia Beam.


Christian Academy of Louisville led 14-6 in the first quarter but Sacred Heart rallied to earn a 60-54 victory.  The score was tied eight times and there were seven lead changes in the game.  Sacred Heart shot 41.8% from the field including seven of 25 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 CAL turnovers.  CAL shot 35.2% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Centurions connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Sacred Heart turnovers.


Kristen Clemons led Sacred Heart with 16 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Destinee Marshall added 14 points including three three point baskets and four assists.  Ashlee Harris recorded 14 points including two three point baskets and four assists.  Josie Gilvin added eight points, five rebounds, and three steals.


Sarah McDonald led CAL with 15 points and four rebounds.  5-5 Fr. Jaya McClure added 12 points, five rebounds, and two steals.  Arina Khlopkova recorded 12 points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Shelby Calhoun added 10 points, 13 rebounds, and two steals.
