Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 5-11 So. Bria Bass, 5-11 GR. Paige Murphy, 6-0 Jr. Catie Kaifes, 5-5 Sr. Mashayla Cecil, and 5-8 Jr. Shay Solomon.  SIUE coach Paula Buscher countered with 6-3 Jr. Alek Akuen, 5-10 Allie Troeckler, 6-3 Sr. Sydney Bauman, 5-4 Fr. Mikia Keith, and 5-5 Sr. Nakiah Bell.

Eastern Kentucky University led 32-30 at halftime but SIUE stormed back in the second half to earn a 74-55 victory.  The score was tied three times and there were two ties in tha game.  SIUE enjoyed a dominating 54-18 points advantage in the paint.  SIUE shot 55.2% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Cougars connected on six of 15 from the free throw line, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 11 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 35.6% from the field including nine of 32 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored five points off 15 SIUE turnovers.

6-1 Sr. Micah Jones led SIUE with 22 points and six rebounds.  Jones was 10 of 13 from the field and two of six from the free throw line.  5-5 Fr. Mikala Hall added nine points and three rebounds.  6-0 So. Zaria Whitlock recorded eight points and four rebounds. 

Catie Kaifes led Eastern Kentucky with 18 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  5-6 So. Terri Goodlett added 11 points and three assists.  Bria Bass recorded nine points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
