East Jessamine coach Nick Barton started the following lineup: 6-1 So. Zion Thomas, 5-10 So. Ben McNew, 6-2 Sr. Tyler Pitney, 5-8 So. Cam Thompson, and 5-9 Sr. Kenzel Wadkins. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-6 Sr. Brice Scott, 6-4 Jr. Ian Rothbauer, 6-7 Sr. Sam Vaughn, 6-0 Sr. Patrick Geoghegan, and 6-3 So. Ben Johnson.
Lexington Catholic defeated East Jessamine by a score of 63-42. Lexington Catholic shot 50% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line. The Knights connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 15 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 34.5% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on 17 of 18 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored three points off four Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 31 points including five three point baskets and three assists. Brice Scott added 12 points and eight rebounds. Patrick Geoghegan recorded 10 points including two three point baskets and seven assists.
Ben McNew led East Jessamine with 15 points including three three point baskets. Zion Thomas added 10 points on 10 of 10 free throws and five rebounds. Kenzel Wadkins recorded 10 points and four rebounds.
