Franklin County coach Joey Thacker started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Samareah Levarity, 5-6 Jr. Jasmine Simpson, 5-10 Fr. Patience Laster, 5-6 So. Brooklynn Miles, and 5-4 Sr. Shannon Brunette. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Jr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-7 Jr. Taleya Todd, 5-9 Sr. Logan Hudson, 5-6 Sr. Kelsey Powell, and 5-6 Sr. Madison Barnard.
Franklin County raced out to a 26-9 first quarter lead on their way to a 68-37 victory over Madison Central. Franklin County shot 43.6% from the field including nine of 28 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 25 Madison Central turnovers. Madison central shot 30.4% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored seven points off 15 Franklin County turnovers.
Brooklynn Miles flirted with a quadruple-double tonight including 28 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, eight assists, and eight steals. Jasmine Simpson added 16 points including four three point baskets. Shannon Brunette recorded six points, nine rebounds, and three assists.
Taleya Todd led Madison Central with 14 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds. Jekauri McKeithen added eight points and eight rebounds. Logan Hudson recorded seven points and eight rebounds.
