Morehead State coach Greg Todd started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Erin Blaine, 5-10 Sr. Eriel McKee, 6-2 Sr. Brooke Todd, 5-4 Jr. Darianne Seward, and 5-8 Jr. Miranda Crockett.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 5-11 Fr. Bria Bass, 5-11 Jr. Abby Wright, 5-8 Jr. A’Queen Hayes, and 5-8 So. Shay Solomon.

Eastern Kentucky University rallied from a nine point first half deficit to take a nine point lead in the second half and held on for a 59-56 victory over Morehead State.  The victory proved to be costly for the Colonels as 6-2 Jr. Madison Pierce went down late in the game with a knee injury.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 37.3% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored six points off six Morehead State turnovers.  Morehead State shot 31.1% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 11 points off nine Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.

Bria Bass came up big for Eastern Kentucky today with 18 points including two three point baskets and 17 rebounds.  Abby Wright added 15 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  A’Queen Hayes recorded nine points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  Shay Solomon chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Madison Wood added five points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots. 

Erin Blaine led Morehead State with 18 points including eight of nine free throws.  Eriel McKee added 16 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Darianne Seward recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, and two steals.  Miranda Crockett chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Brooke Todd pulled down six rebounds.
