Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-8 Jr. Nick Thelen, 6-4 Sr. CJ Fredrick, 7-1 Sr. Jake Walter, 6-0 Sr. Casey Nowak, and 5-10 Sr. Aiden Ruthsatz.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-3 Sr. Dustin Geralds, 6-1 Sr. Kenyon McKee, 6-8 Jr. Isaiah Cozart, 5-10 Sr. Isaiah Minter, and 5-11 Sr. Jacori Miller.

 

Covington Catholic pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Madison Central by a score of 63-45.  Covington Catholic shot 66.7% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 48.6% from the field including one of six from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored two points off three Covington Catholic turnovers. 

 

CJ Fredrick led Covington Catholic with 32 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Aiden Ruthsatz added 15 points including six of seven free throws.  6-3 Sr. AJ Mayer recorded 11 points and nine rebounds.

 

Isaiah Cozart led Madison Central with 17 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Dustin Geralds added 14 points and four rebounds.  Kenyon McKee recorded nine points and three rebounds.

CJ Fredrick led Covington Catholic with 26 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and seven assists.  Jake Walter added 24 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Walter was 11 of 13 from the field and two of five from the free throw line.  Aiden Ruthsatz recorded 14 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists.

Covington Catholic shot a sizzling 65.2% from the field in an 82-55 victory over Boyle County.  Covington Catholic shot 65.2% from the field including nine of 16 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 Boyle County turnovers.  Boyle County shot 45.7% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Rebels connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 14 rebounds, and scored nine points off five Covington Catholic turnovers.

 

CJ Fredrick led Covington Catholic with 27 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists.  Fredrick was 11 of 13 from the field including four of six beyond the arc and connected on his only free throw.  Jake Walter added 18 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Aiden Ruthsatz recorded 12 points including three three point baskets and five assists.  6-3 Sr. AJ Mayer chipped in with 10 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

6-1 Sr. Devontae Hayes led Lafayette with 25 points and seven rebounds.  Hayes was 12 of 15 from the field and one of two free throws.  Eric Powell added 12 points and four rebounds.  Evan Dreux recorded 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Kyle Rode hit a basket with 12 seconds left on the clock to give Lexington Christian Academy a 52-50 victory over Trinity.  There were five ties and five lead changes in the game.  Trinity led LCA 24-12 in the second quarter but the Eagles rallied for the impressive win on the road.  Lexington Christian Academy shot 47.8% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on three of four free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Trinity turnovers.  Trinity shot 37.7% from the field including eight of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Shamrocks connected on two of four free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 LCA turnovers.

 

Carter Hendrickson led Lexington Christian Academy with 19 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Kyle Rode added 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Austin Hall recorded eight points, five rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.

JacQuess Hobbs went coast-to-coast in the closing seconds to hit the basket that gave Eastern Kentucky University a 75-73 come-from-behind victory over Morehead State.  The score was tied six times and there were eight lead changes in this game.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 45.3% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 19 of 27 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 16 Morehead State turnovers.  Morehead State shot 46% from the field including eight of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 19 of 29 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 14 points off Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Jordan Walker led Morehead State with 16 points including nine of 12 free throws, four assists, and three steals.  AJ Hicks added 15 points including six of seven free throws and four assists.  6-4 Fr. De’Von Cooper recorded 13 points including three three point baskets.  Malek Green chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.
