Apollo coach Natalie Payne started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Amber Dunn, 5-7 Sr. Keisha Mattingly, 5-11 Sr. Bralyn Rhoades, 5-7 Jr. Jr. Lexi Shadowen, and 5-7 Sr. Kassidy Clark. Allen County-Scottsville coach Brad Bonds countered with 5-11 Jr. Mason Towery, 5-7 Sr. Bailee Alderson, 5-11 Jr. Sarah Sutton, 5-2 Sr. Sydney Day, and 5-6 Sr. Kali Mutter.
Allen County-Scottsville led Apollo 30-11 in the second quarter and withheld a furious rally by Apollo to earn a 41-40 victory. Allen County-Scottsville shot 40.7% from the field including one of seven from the free throw line. They connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Apollo turnovers. Apollo shot 38.7% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc. They connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 19 Allen County-Scottsville turnovers.
Sarah Sutton led Allen County-Scottsville with 20 points including 16 of 18 free throws, six rebounds, and four assists. Mason Towey added seven points and eight rebounds. Sydney Day chipped in with six points.
Bralyn Rhoades led Apollo with 15 points and five rebounds. Lexi Shadowen added 14 points including two three point baskets.
