Walton-Verona coach Grant Brannen started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Kameron Pardee, 6-2 Sr. Austin Lay, 6-6 Sr. Zach Clinkenbeard, 5-6 Sr. Brennan Stanley, and 6-0 Jr. Grant Grubbs.  Walton-Verona suffered a loss when 6-10 Jr. Dieonte Miles was lost for the rest of the season due to an injury).  Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-7 Sr. Carter Hendrickson, 6-7 Jr. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Sr. Austin Hall, 6-0 Jr. Pearce Dalton, and 6-2 Jr. Will Hacker.

 

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Walton-Verona 47-41 to capture the championship.  LCA led by 16 in the third quarter but Walton-Verona mounted a furious comeback to cut the lead to one; 39-38 with 2:05 remaining in the game before LCA pulled away in the final seconds for the victory.  Lexington Christian Academy shot 47.1% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on five of 14 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 14 points off eight Walton-Verona turnovers.  Walton-Verona shot 36.1% from the field including eight of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Bearcats connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 14 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 LCA turnovers.

 

Kyle Rode led LCA with 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Carter Hendrickson added 15 points and eight rebounds.  Pearce Dalton chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, and two assists.  Austin Hall recorded five points, six rebounds, and four assists.

 

Zach Clinkenbeard led Walton-Verona with 10 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and three steals.  5-11 Jr. Garrett Jones added nine points on three three point baskets.  Brennan Stanley recorded eight points including two three point baskets.
