Tennessee Tech coach Steve Payne started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Mason Ramsey, 6-5 Sr. Curtis Phillips Jr., 6-6 Jr. Courtney Alexander, 6-3 GS Kajon Mack, and 6-4 GS. Shaq Calhoun.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale countered with 6-6 So. DeAndre Dishman, 6-5 Jr. AJ Youngman, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 So. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-4 Fr. Dedric Boyd.

 

Tennessee Tech defeated Eastern Kentucky 70-67 in a game that had five ties and 12 lead changes.  Tennessee Tech shot 35.4% from the field including seven of 22 from the three point line.  The Golden Eagles connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 47.3% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 Tennessee Tech turnovers.

 

Kajon Mack led Tennessee Tech with 17 points including 11 of 11 free throws, four rebounds, and four assists.  Curtis Phillips Jr. added 13 points including three three point baskets.  Mason Ramsey recorded 10 points and six rebounds.  6-0 So. Corey Tillery chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.

 

DeAndre Dishman led Eastern Kentucky University with 18 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.  AJ Youngman added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Dujuanta Weaver recorded 14 points including two three point baskets and four assists.  Nick Mayo added 12 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.
