Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Cooper Robb, 6-2 Jr. Bryce Long, 6-7 Jr. Michael Moreno, 5-9 Jr. Diablo Stewart, and 6-0 Jr. Glenn Covington. Bishop Gorman (NV) coach Grant Rice countered with 6-6 Sr. Jamal Bey, 6-3 Fr. Will McClendon, 6-9 So. Isaiah Cottrell, 5-9 Jr. DJ Howe, and 6-2 Jr. Chance Michels.
Bishop Gorman (NV) led 32-28 at halftime but Scott County rallied in the second half to earn a 71-62 victory over the Gaels. The score was tied four times and there were six lead changes in the game. Scott County shot 55.3% from the field including a sizzling 68.2% in the second half including five of 12 from the three point line for the game. The Cardinals connected on 14 of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Bishop Gorman turnovers. Bishop Gorman shot 46.8% from the field including 11 of 27 from beyond the arc. The Gaels connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.
Cooper Robb led a balanced Scott County scoring attack with 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Bryce Long added 17 points including three three point baskets. Michael Moreno recorded 16 points and five rebounds. Diablo Stewart chipped in with 10 points including six of six free throws and four assists. Glenn Covington added nine points and seven rebounds.
Jamal Bey led Bishop Gorman (NV) with 25 points including four three point baskets and six rebounds. Will McClendon added 15 points including four three point baskets. Chance Michels chipped in with nine points including two three point baskets.
