Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Jalen O’Bannon, 5-11 Sr. Shavontae Naylor, 6-3 Jr. Madison Wood, 5-3 Jr. Marcella Rocha, and 5-8 Sr. Alexus Cooper.  Morehead State University coach Greg Todd countered with 5-10 Jr. Eriel McKee, 5-8 So. Miranda Crockett, 6-2 Sr. Shay Steele, 5-4 So. Darianne Seward, and 5-8 Sr. Aaliyah Wells.

There were three early ties and seven lead changes but Morehead State dominated play in the second and third quarters (48-20) to earn a convincing 80-54 victory over Eastern Kentucky.  Morehead State shot 48.6% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  They connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 29.9% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Morehead State turnovers.

Eriel McKee led Morehead State with 17 points and 13 rebounds.  Miranda Crockett added 16 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Aaliyah Wells chipped in with 12 points including three three point baskets.  5-3 Sr. Brianna McQueen also scored 12 points.  Shay Steele added 10 points and six rebounds.  6-2 Jr. Brooke Todd pulled down eight rebounds and blocked four shots.  Darianne Seward recorded seven points, three rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.

Shavontae Naylor led Eastern Kentucky University with 15 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Jalen O’Bannon, Alexus Cooper, and 5-5 Sr. Mariah Massengill each scored seven points.  5-11 So. Abby Wright recorded six points and six rebounds.
