Trinity coach Mike Szabo started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. David Burton, 6-1 Fr. Justin Powell, 6-4 So. David Johnson, 5-10 Sr. Jacob King, and 6-0 Sr. Lukas Burkman.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-4 Jr. Justin Mitchell, 5-10 Jr. Jalen Williams, 6-4 Jr. Andreus Green, 5-8 So. Ramond Jackson, and 5-10 Sr. Brian Tribble.

 

Trinity raced out to a 19-4 first quarter lead on their way to an 80-59 victory over Henry Clay.  Trinity shot 59.3% from the field including 14 of 25 from the three point line.  The Shamrocks connected on two of five free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 42.2% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Trinity turnovers.

 

David Johnson led Trinity with 24 points including six three point baskets, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Justin Powell added 12 points including two three point baskets.  Jacob King recorded 10 points including two three point baskets and eight assists.  David Burton chipped in with eight points, six assists, and three assists.

 

Andreus Green led Henry Clay with 20 points and seven rebounds.  6-3 So. Quentyn Jackson added 11 points including three three point baskets.  Justin Mitchell recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals.  Jalen Williams chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.
