East Jessamine vs. Madison Central (Girls)

East Jessamine coach Todd Claunch started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Jalynn Landversicht, 5-6 Fr. Paige Smith, 5-10 Jr. Briana Beavers, 5-3 So. Jasmine Atkerson, and 5-6 Jr. Jessica Hall.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid.

 

Madison Central raced out to a 28-6 first quarter lead on their way to a 64-30 victory over East Jessamine.  Madison Central shot 54.2% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on nine of 21 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 40 points off 32 East Jessamine turnovers.  East Jessamine shot 30.6% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Bailee Vanover led Madison Central with 19 points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Vanover was seven of eight from the field and five of nine from the free throw line.  Lindsey Johns added 17 points, six assists, and six steals.  Mallie Cornett chipped in with 12 points, four rebounds, five blocked shots, and three steals.  Charity Mack recorded six points, two rebounds, three assists, and six steals.  Kasi Schneid added six points , three rebounds, and two assists.

 

Jalynn Landversicht led East Jessamine with 15 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
