Fleming County vs. Henry Clay (Girls)

Fleming County coach Melanie Rogers started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Alondra Jackson, 5-5 Jr. Morgan Fern, 6-0 So. Analeise Mitchell, 5-0 8th Grade Sidney Argo, and 5-5 8th Grade Krishani Jackson.  Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-8 Jr. Braxton Price, 5-8 Jr. Cheyenne Jones, 5-10 So. Grace Brancini, 5-7 So. Kiya Thompson, and 5-8 Sr. Lexi Long.

 

Henry Clay pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Fleming County by a score of 52-35.  Henry Clay shot 31.1% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Blue devils connected on four of 13 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 41 Fleming County turnovers.  Henry Clay attempted 48 more shots (74-26) than Fleming County.  Fleming County shot 46.2% from the field including two of two from beyond the arc.  The Lady Panthers connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored seven points off 13 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Braxton Price led Henry Clay with 11 points, four assists, and three steals.  5-5 8th Grade Keja Parks added 10 points, four rebounds, and six steals.  Lexi Long chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Kiya Thompson added nine points.

 

5-6 Sr. Tori Ishmael led Fleming County with 15 points including two three point baskets and three steals.  Analeise Mitchell added six points and eight rebounds.  Morgan Fern chipped in with six points and seven rebounds.  Krishani Jackson also pulled down eight rebounds.
