Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Nick Runyon started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Autumn Herriford, 5-8 So. Cheyenne Fullwood, 5-9 Jr. Peyton Humphreys, 5-6 Jr. Mashayla Cecil, and 5-9 Jr. Anaiyah Cotton. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 So. Macey Goff, 5-9 So. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-11 Sr. Kiara Pankins, 5-3 Jr. Terri Abram, and 5-9 Jr. Caroline Bennett.
Lafayette trailed 57-49 with 2:34 left on the clock but tied the game 57-57 on a layup by Kiara Pankins off a Caroline Bennett assist with five seconds remaining to force overtime. It was all Lafayette in overtime as they earned a 73-63 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar. Dunbar led 33-21 at halftime but Lafayette rallied to earn the victory.
Lafayette shot 45.5% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 20 of 31 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 21 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 35.7% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Lafayette turnovers.
Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 29 points, 12 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals. Pankins was 12 of 18 from the field and five of nine from the free throw line. Terri Abram added 16 points including six of seven free throws and four rebounds. Caroline Bennett recorded 11 points, three rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Lindi DeBilzan chipped in with eight points, six rebounds, and two steals.
Mashayla Cecil led Dunbar with 20 points including four three point baskets, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Autumn Herriford added 18 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds. Peyton Humphreys recorded 12 points and eight rebounds.
