Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Nick Runyon started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Autumn Herriford, 5-7 So. Cheyenne Fullwood, 5-8 Jr. Peyton Humphreys, 5-5 Jr. Mashayla Cecil, and 5-7 Jr. Anaiyah Cotton.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-10 So. Maaliya Owens, 5-8 Sr. Kadee Hudson, 6-0 Sr. Holly Christian, 5-5 Fr. Morgan DeFoor, and 5-10 Jr. Peyton Riddle.

 

Scott County rebounded from a loss to Madison Central last night to defeat Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 78-60.  Scott County shot 45.9% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 17 of 19 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 11 Paul Laurence Dunbar turnovers.  Paul Laurence Dunbar shot 32.1% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 22 of 38 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.

 

Maaliya Owens led Scott County with 25 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Peyton Riddle added 16 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Morgan DeFoor chipped in with 12 points.

 

Mashayla Cecil led Paul Laurence Dunbar with 23 points including 11 of 13 free throws, three assists, and four steals.  Autumn Herriford added 19 points, five rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Anaiyah Cotton recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Peyton Humphreys pulled down eight rebounds.
