Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Javea Richardson. 6-2 So. Jared Gadd, 6-4 So. Star Ifeacho, 5-8 Jr. JaQuice Gray, and 6-3 Sr. Taveion Hollingsworth.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-6 Jr. Carter Hendricksen, 6-6 So. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Jr. Austin Hall, 6-0 Jr. Chandler Stewart, and 6-2 Sr. Nathan Harper.

 

Lexington Christian Academy led Dunbar 42-29 in the third quarter but the Bulldogs led by the offensive onslaught by Taveion Hollingsworth rallied to earn a 79-71 victory on the road. The score was tied four times and there were three lead changes in the game.  Dunbar shot 48.1% from the field including eight of 16 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 12 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 50% from the field including three of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 22 of 26 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored six points off seven Dunbar turnovers.

 

Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 40 points including five three point baskets and nine of 13 free throws, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Javea Richardson added 12 points.  6-4 Sr. Isaiah Yeast chipped in with eight points.

 

Kyle Rode led LCA with 32 points including 13 of 15 free throws, four rebounds, and five assists.  Carter Hendricksen added 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Austin Hall also scored 13 points.
