Clay County vs. Knott County Central (Girls)

Lady Bulldog Holiday Classic

Knott County Central defeated Clay County by a score of 65-59.  Knott County Central shot 45.6% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and committed 14 turnovers.  Clay County shot 49% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers.

 

5-10 Sr. Hannah Hollifield led Knott County Central with 16 points and seven rebounds.  5-5 Sr. Kristen Waugh added 14 points.  6-0 Jr. Allie O’Hair recorded 13 points and 10 rebounds.  5-4 Jr. Emily Mullins also reached double figures with 12 points.

 

5-9 Fr. Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists.  5-5 So. Kimberlyn Mills added 11 points and four rebounds.  5-6 So. Shelby Phillips recorded seven points and seven rebounds.

 

Clay County (59) – Phillips 7, Mathis 20, Asher 6, Parker 6, Mills 11, Hacker 5, Sizemore 2, Lewis 2.

 

Knott County Central (65) – Hollifield 16, Waugh 14, O’Hair 13, Mullins 12, Higgins 4, Harrington 4, Thornsbury 2.
