Casey County coach Tara Weddle started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Natalie Duggins, 5-6 Fr. Lauren Lee, 5-10 Fr. Shaylah Wilkey, 5-6 Fr. Gena Cravens, and 5-6 Jr. Myla McGowan.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid.

 

Perimeter shooting continues to plague Madison Central as Casey County connected on 12 three point baskets in a 61-55 victory over the Indians today.  Madison Central led 29-22 at halftime but Casey County outscored Madison Central 19-7 in the third quarter to take a 41-36 lead after three quarters.  There were eight lead changes and four ties in this game.

 

Casey County shot 32.6% from the field including 12 of 23 from the three point line.  The Rebels connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored two points off eight Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 37.5% from the field including five of nine from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored two points off seven Casey County turnovers.

 

Gena Cravens led Casey County with 19 points including five three point baskets.  Myla McGowan added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Lauren Lee also scored 14 points including 11 of 12 free throws and eight rebounds.  Natalie Duggins recorded 12 points including two three point baskets.

 

Kasi Schneid led Madison central with 14 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  Mallie Cornett added 13 points including seven of seven free throws and six rebounds.  Lindsey Johns also scored 13 points.  Bailee Vanover recorded 12 points and four rebounds.
