Austin Peay coach Dave Loos started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Chris Freeman, 6-4 Sr. Ed Dyson, 6-8 Jr. Chris Horton, 6-5 Jr. Khalil Davis, and 6-2 Sr. Damarius Smith.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Jeff Neubauer countered with 6-7 Sr. Timmy Knipp. 6-7 Jr. Ja’Mill Powell, 6-8 Sr. Eric Stutz, 6-2 Sr. Corey Walden, and 6-2 So. Isaac McGlone.

Eastern Kentucky University led 33-30 at halftime and pulled away early in the second half to defeat Austin Peay by a score of 76-64.  The score was tied five times and there were two lead changes in the game.  EKU shot 51% from the field including 12 of 28 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 Austin Peay turnovers.  Austin Peay shot 39.3% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Governors connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 EKU turnovers.

Eric Stutz led EKU with 20 points and five rebounds.  6-5 Jr. Denzel Richardson added 13 points including three three point baskets.  Timmy Knipp recorded 12 points, three rebounds, and four assists.  Ja’Mill Powell chipped in with 12 points including three three point baskets.  Isaac McGlone added six points, three rebounds, five assists, and four steals.  6-1 Fr. Paul Jackson recorded five points and seven assists.

6-3 Fr. Josh Robinson led Austin Peay with 13 points and five rebounds.  Ed Dyson also scored 13 points including three three point baskets.  Chris Horton recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.  6-8 So. Assane Diop chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.  Chris Freeman added nine points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Khalil Davis also scored nine points and dished out four assists.
