Lafayette coach Greg Coldiron started the following lineup: 6-5 So. Nick Trisko, 5-10 Jr. William Johnson, 6-7 Fr. Jackson Davis, 5-10 Sr. David Ross, and 5-9 Fr. Charles “Snoop” Johnson. Bryan Station coach Michael Allen countered with 6-3 So Larry Morton, 6-1 Sr. Loran Smith, 6-2 Sr. Anthony Roberts, 5-9 Fr. Jordan Henry, and 6-2 Sr. Deon Renfro.
Lafayette defeated a cold shooting Bryan Station team by a score of 53-45. Bryan Station shot 22% from the field including 17.2% from the field in the first half. Lafayette shot 40.4% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line. The Generals connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 22% from the field including five of 29 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.
Charles “Snoop” Johnson led Lafayette with 15 points, eight rebounds, and five steals. William Johnson also scored 15 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Jackson Davis recorded eight points, 14 rebounds, and six blocked shots.
Larry Morton led Bryan Station with 25 points including three three point baskets, pulled down five rebounds, and recorded five steals. Loran Smith added nine points, six rebounds, and four steals.
