CAL coach Don Rice started the following lineup: 5-10 So. China Dow, 5-8 Jr. Paige Gardner, 5-8 Sr. Emily Walden, 5-7 So. Kate Joss, and 5-6 Jr. Katie Shaheen.  Assumption coach Stephanie Greathouse countered with 5-9 Sr. Maggie Hartlage, 5-8 So. Katie Friedrich, 5-11 Jr. Morgan Foley, 5-6 Jr. Becca Durbin, and 5-5 So. Dee Dee Sliter.

CAL raced out to a 26-15 first quarter lead on their way to a 59-44 victory over Assumption.  CAL shot 37.9% from the field including eight of 25 from the three point line.  The Lady Centurions connected on seven of 18 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 16 Assumption turnovers.  Assumption shot 29.8% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc.  The Rockets connected on 15 of 30 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 CAL turnovers.

China Dow led CAL with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists.  Katie Shaheen added 13 points including two three point baskets.  5-6 Sr. Molly Wilder chipped in with 10 points.  Kate Joss recorded nine points and Paige Gardner scored nine points and pulled down eight rebounds.

Morgan Foley led Assumption with 11 points and five rebounds.  5-11 So. Kelsey Kaiser added six points and 10 rebounds.  Dee Dee Sliter recorded six points, seven rebounds, and four steals.
