Mercer County coach Chris Souder started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Ashley Roby, 5-2 Sr. Tori Freeman, 6-2 Abra Sickles, 5-2 Sr. Natalie Van Arsdall, and 5-3 Sr. Leah Flora.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-9 So. Taylor Mynear, 5-7 Sr. Ali Ross, 6-0 Sr. Morgan Walker, 5-4 Sr. Jameka Gillespie, and 5-3 Jr. Jariana Gillespie.

Lafayette erased a four point deficit early in the fourth quarter to defeat Mercer County by a score of 59-54.  Lafayette scored 20 points off 20 Mercer County turnovers and held a 16-6 advantage in second chance points.

Lafayette shot 42.3% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 11 of 15 free throws and pulled down 28 rebounds.  Mercer County shot 44.7% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Titans connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds and scored eight points off 11 Lafayette turnovers.

Jameka Gillespie led Lafayette with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Ali Ross also recorded 17 points and added five steals.  Jariana Gillespie chipped in with 15 points. 

Abra Sickles led Mercer County with 24 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Ashley Roby and Leah Flora each had eight points.

Lafayette (59) – Mynear 5, Ross 17, Walker 3, Jameka Gillespie 17, Jariana Gillespie 15, Graham 2.
