BLACK AUTHOR DEFIES STEREOTYPES OF AFRICAN-AMERICAN ROMANCE WITH NEW NOVEL SERIES

Oakland, CA (BlackNews.com) - A Foreign Affair, written by Chilufiya Safaa, is the first in a series of four romance novels chronicling the lives and loves of the four stylish Terrell sisters of Virginia.

A Foreign Affair is a celebration of love throughout the African Diaspora. It is an ode to the sacredness of the union of man and woman. A Foreign Affair defies stereotypes and explores characters that have historically been underrepresented in contemporary fiction. This novel peeks into the lives of African-American and Continental African men and women of substance.

The intriguing characters found within the pages of A Foreign Affair are powerful, loving people of means and promise. Their sensuality is naturally seductive and lures the reader in with passionate awe-inspiring scenes of love at its highest common denominator.

On Sunday, July 24, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at Redwood Heights Community Center, located at 3883 Aliso Avenue, Oakland, CA 94619, Chilufiya will be signing her book, A Foreign Affair, and will talk about defying the stereotypes of African-American romance.
