I had a good time with my friends, the food (pasta and some kind of chicken/quorn and lots of veggies...like carrots, and onion and mushrooms...lots of mushrooms...M ;) and saffron and garlic and lots of spices...and a white chocolate mousse with raspberries and lime for dessert) was great and the tv-show was...ok (Sorry C!). I didn't have time to shop as much as I'd planned, but who cares?

I'm starting to wonder if it might be nickel silver that's causing the rash anyway...even though I haven't worn jewelry in ages. The rash in the back might be caused by my hair rubber band thingy. It has a tiny, tiny metal thing keeping it together and some tiny, tiny, tiny silver threads in it. If that's the cause it'd probably also explain why my entire head's kinda itchy. I'll try to find some new ones today... And I did pull the zipper on my jacket almost all the way up yesterday which might explain the "mosquito bite"...and I did look kind of red when I took my bra off.... What do you think? What do I do now? Everything has some kind of metal in it. The umbrella ('brella, 'brella, 'brella...sorry) I used today, money (coins), the mp3-player I occationally carry around my neck, even the socks I'm wearing now has little silver threads in them. What kind of stuff do I have to avoid? Can I never wear my beloved earrings again?? And why haven't I reacted as strongly to the button in my jeans? Help me out here!

My old stomach ache's back again, it's almost a relief compared to the other one. But I don't have time for it now. I've got a dinner party to attend tomorrow/later today and lots of things to do... dammit. And the rash has a new buddy in the shape of what resembles a mosquito bite right in the middle of my lovely double chin.

...my head's definitely not where it should be (or maybe that's just who I am?). I was walking down the street and saw someone pushing a pram and I thought "Oh, there's my friend...but she's usually never out this time of day...oh well..." and I was really sure that it was her....until I realized "BUT why does she have a big black moustache???" Needless to say, it wasn't her.

I've spent most of the day with grandma and a gigant dough with saffron. But it was fun. It's something that you always associate with her, baking. And I didn't learn some new (old?) tricks, like warming the saffron on the stowe and using powdered milk instead of fresh. It's one of those things that you'll regret not doing when you're older. Like the way my (maternal) grandma taught me how to knit and crochet when I was young...er (she was a seamstress), and the things my grandpa taught me about the lake... Unfortunately I don't remember any of that any more...

I've decided not to bother with my mum and her ways. I tend to get a bit annoyed, but in the end it's the thought that counts. She asked her quite new neighbour to come with us to the Christmas fair. Nice of her right? The only problem is that the neighbour is from a "far away country" and therefore my mum seems to think that the communication will go smoother if she shouts out every single word she says...which in the end made me do the same thing... AND she just has to explain what every single thing is, even if the neighbour replies "Yeah, I just bought the kids one the other day". It's the thought that counts.
