Now Playing: Leslie Gore - It's my party (and I cry if I want to)

Went to the dentist, and the conditions could have been better: sick, scared and moody. Finally got there, even though my legs wanted to turn around and go the other way. She (maybe it was the assistent or whatever she is) asked if I've had any pain and I told her that I had until I got the antibiotic. She looked very sceptical and said that we had to do a new x-ray thingy. The first one was fine, the one of the actual tooth. But then she wanted to have x-ray pictures of all the other teeth as well. And I'd told her before that I've been sick and my gag reflex wasn't how it was supposed to. So, what did she do? She put the bloody x-ray thingy right on the gag reflex place, and then she got a bit pissed off, like if it was my fault! Then they gave me the anaesthetic shot, which I barely noticed because of my nervousness, I had to wait a while, and then they begain to drill. Which went fine for about two seconds, before it started to hurt. She tried again, and again, and it still hurt. she gave me another very uncomfortable shot on the inside of the mouth, in the palate, which went completely numb. A very uncomfortable feeling. Wait. She came back and started up again. It went fine for a couple of seconds and then it hurt again. By then the dentist was getting very annoyed and asked me several times if it actually hurt or if I was imagining it. Finally I got a third shot from the annoyed dentist, inbetween the teeth this time and she told me that she didn't have time for that and that I had to wait while she went and took care of another patient. Meanwhile I had a small panic attack when my entire throat went numb. She came back started again, but apparently she must have calmed down in the other room because suddenly she was all cheerful again, asking me it it hurt and if I was ok. And then when she noticed that the anaesthetic finally worked she became even nicer (except for pinning my shoulder to the chair with her underarm) and started to explain exactly what she was doing. After almost two hours we were finally done...or so I thought. I still have to come back for the stupid x-rays.

When I was done I went and booked an appointment for "Spiritual healing". Whatever that is... I'm gonna need a lot of healing to recover from this! Now I'm just gonna lay on the sofa and read the glossy magazine I bought myself as an reward for being such a good girl (At what age do the dentists stop giving you toys for being such a good girl? I soo deserved one!).

The 8th wonder...
Mood:  cheeky
Topic: Everyday life

Went to see the new amazing thing that's supposed to be even more amazing than sliced bread today. Sure, they had a lot of handy stuff, but I still think people need a hobby if that's all they can talk about! The most amazing thing for me is that in this SMALL little village I managed to spend an entire hour there without recognizing a single person there! I'm definitely going there again! ...and I'm soo bringing the couch with cupholders (American style) home with me!!

The telemarketer...
Mood:  cheeky
Topic: Everyday life

I got the umpthieth call from the world's most evil, suckiest phone/broad band provider ever today, and for some reason I decided to answer it today:

"Hello...helooooo...hellohellohello?"

"Um...hi...my name is whatever, I'm calling for suckiestcompanyever and I'm looking for notyou"

"Um...you can stop that now. There's no point in that."

"Why?"

"She wouldn't deal with your company even if it was the last company on earth."

"Now I really have to ask why..?"

"Because we don't do business with swindlers"

"Has that happened to you personally?"

"No, but to close friends of mine."

"Umokthanksbye."

Over in 20 sec :)

My phone still claims that I haven't had any incoming phone calls since the 5th, and that I haven't had any Missed calls for weeks. But I think I'm getting all my incoming stuff anyway...except for the call from my aunt the other week, and the text that my dad claims he sent me... Anyone else I've missed?

...lady at the store. I tried to get away with a free salad dressing for the pie I bought yesterday (it's free if you buy the dressing, but not if you buy the pie). But no, she wouldn't have it. I had to pay the extra five crowns. If it had been someone else she probably would have let it go...

Just got another telemarketer on the phone, Norweigan apparently, trying to sell me some kind of fish oil. I told her that I wasn't interested, and she asked why. So I told her that I was a vegetarian. "Ooh, yeah the cover might be a problem then (because of the gelatine, I guess). But you're not intrested in making a hole and just have the oil then?" I didn't even have the energy to ask her if the fish oil didn't contain any fish, which is an animal. Which vegetarians usually don't eat. And I just said "No".

Just read my horoscopes for the week. One said that my biggest problem will be my stomach. Great. The other one told me to be firm and set boundaries on Thursday. That's when I'm going to the dentist again. Sounds like it's gonna be a lovely week. Really.

I had a good time with my friends, the food (pasta and some kind of chicken/quorn and lots of veggies...like carrots, and onion and mushrooms...lots of mushrooms...M ;) and saffron and garlic and lots of spices...and a white chocolate mousse with raspberries and lime for dessert) was great and the tv-show was...ok (Sorry C!). I didn't have time to shop as much as I'd planned, but who cares?
