As usual , I couldn't sleep because of the heat and woke up nice and early around 5 am. Had a headache, because of the heat, all day. Then my mum bribed me (with food) to go with her into town. We got on the brand new bus, which of course smelled like brand new bus, and the I felt really sick.
We went to this new thairestaurant, but the food wasn't as expected, maybe next time... And we had to wait 40 minutes for dessert!
Then I was supposed to meet up with all my friends who'd begged me to stop by. I talked to one of them, the one I really hadn't expected to see, so that's a nice suprise but still...
Then followed fours hours of listening to crap bands and getting mosquito bites...and a back pain that's out of this world. At least I got a meat less burger at the end of the evening...

I went into town to have lunch with an acquaintance. First we had to walk around to three different restaurants because of the first restaurant's refusal to cook food that I could actually eat. They usually have lots of great food, but this weekend they've decided to just have two dishes on the menue, and refusing to cook anything else even though we were the only ones in the darn restaurant.
So we to another place where we know that they're friendlier. I had some shrimp and veggies, delish!
I'd planned to get out of there after a couple of hours and go to a friends barbecue, and see her new apartment and car. But I never got around to it.
When we got there she ordered ciders and later on champagne (or sparkling wine actually, they didn't have any real champagne).
When we finally got out of there, they (her and her husband) wanted us to go to another place and have some beers, so we did...

I decided to award myself with a late lunch down by the lake. The people who run it before made the best shrimp sandwiches ever with lots of garlic, but the new owners were kind of a disappointment. They sold us discount store soda and the sandwich didn't really taste of anything. They get an A for effort though, they've made it themselves and it's full of tasty things but still, very bland. Service was good though...

Went to a birthday party and played with my nephew, and I was actually surprised. If it had been "my" other child I wouldn't have been surprised, but my nephew is usually quite shy around me. I don't see him that often either, so that probably doesn't help... But today he wanted to play with me...a lot...and even sit on my lap. He still can't pronounce my name though :)

I finally finished a book called "The Lovely Bone" by Alice Sebold. It's supposed to be a bestseller here and that's why I got it for a friend of mine. Everyone recommended it to me. It's about a fourteen year old girl who is raped and killed, and then tells the story from heaven. I thought that the first two hundred pages went by soo slooowly, the last hundred had some potential though... even though it didn't really make it all the way...

Today was the dreaded day when I had to go to the gym, when I finally got there and got started it wasn't as bad as expected. I wasn't that much weaker...
Then off to lunch, I think I ate for three, at least...
Then I decided to try on some dresses, or about twenty five to be exact. I had fun, I don't think my friend enjoyed it as much though :) Out of twenty five dresses I found ONE that I liked. It's all flowery and stuff. It'd be great for Midsummer's eve. I didn't buy it though, I just settled for a green top on sale instead...like a good girl :)
Then off to see another friend for coffee. We were going to play outside, but it rained so we decided on coffee instead. It was good to see her, it'd been a while...

I was sitting on the bus today and looked out the window, just to see a new "generation" of drunks to be. They've come so far that they hang out with the crowd behind the liquor store, but still new enough to look "normal", like anyone else i.e no torn, dirty clothes or things like that... But they're still more real than the friend I mentioned before. Even though you can't say that he's just a social drinker any more. He's just a sweet guy gone wrong. Or at least that's what I'd like to think...

While he was still hanging out with me and my friend he seemed to be okey, but since we've stopped hanging out it's gone completely overboard. I know we can't be there to babysit him all of his life, but still, you do feel a bit guilty. Like there's something more you should have done...
