Who? What? Where???
Mood:  hungry
Now Playing: Angels & Airwaves - The Adventure
Topic: On tour
Once again, time for a little roadtrip with my friend and her green turtle. Somehow we ended up arriving almost on time, don't ask me how that happened. We were late, as usual, from the start, and then a shoe broke and so on... The entrance had been place on the other side of town so we had to walk for hours, or so it felt. We listened to lots of bands and tried to get around without being too lost. After a couple of hours we decided to eat, but where were the food? They usually have lots of different foods, thai, tacos and langos, but we couldn't find anything but hot dogs, hot dogs, fries and hot dogs. After a while we went and stood in line for twenty minutes to get some falafels, but when it was our turn they were out of the damned falafels so we went to the little sushi place instead. They were out of veggies so we settled for donughs and went to see a friend. Time to listen to some music again, but where were that damned place and stage?! Suddenly we saw an unusual amount of people walking to and from the toilet-thingies and we decided to follow them. There it was, a big parking place with the stage, things for sale, and the food. So the lesson here kids is, if you think hundreds of people are going to the loo at the same time - they're probably don't!

The band
Mood:  loud
Now Playing: Lots!
Topic: Music
The music we listened to were bands like Ed Harcourt (pretty much like I expected him to be, he went great with the sun and the lukewarm weather), Sahara Hotnights (still can't get over the fact that they're rude little buggers), Looptroop (I expected more), Takida (too loud live - my ears were ringing for two days after) and Mando Diao (biggest crowd so far).

Grown ups?
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: Everyday life
I was talking to a friend who couldn't find anything boring enough to wear, because she wanted to be a grown-up. Her younger friends were all soo much more mature than her, and they always id-ed her and not her friends when they went to the club.
The next minute she said that being an adult ment knowing who you are, what your values are and what you want out of life. And you have to have kids and own your own home. I think that's a common mistake people make, assume that the first thing will lead to the other.
I told her that I don't care if my top's a bit too long for my sweater, and she replied "But that's your thing, to not care about anything like that".

Suddenly I felt very misunderstood. I know that that is how my longtime friends see me, like an fourteen year old going on thirty. But to me that just means that they don't know me at all. Yes, I do wear baggy pants when going for coffee but does that make me less mature? If I'm going somewhere fancy I try to dress accordingly. And yes, I might listen to lots of different kinds music. But does that make me less responsible? No, I don't think so. I pay my bills on time, I don't drink that often. I've tried to dress like a granny, but it only made me depressed, so why should I? Not even old people dress like old people any more.
I have friends of all ages, they don't seem to mind what kind of music I listen to. I'm starting to figure out my good sides and my bad. I'm know I'll never be perfect, but I'm still trying.
I think I'm starting to figure out what I can tolerate and what I don't stand. What kind of people I want to surround myself with. And I can still spend time with those who aren't exactly like me.
Okay, I might not know exactly how I want to end up, but who does? If we're going by that criteria, only about 5-10 % of the population would be grown-ups.

How much is too much?
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: Everyday life
I have a friend, a supposedly good friend, but all we seem to do is hurting each other and being mean to each other. It's done in very subtle ways. There's no back stabbing or things like that, just simple, honest conversation.
I don't know who started it, maybe it was me. I sometimes don't think about how I present something. I have a big vocabulary, I know lots of words, but still I don't seem to find the right words.
It's good to have someone who doesn't beat around the bush, she tells me how it is and I guess I do the same, even though I try not to. It gives you something to think about, but sometimes it's almost too much, like it's all we do. Or maybe it's just me... I don't know, I'm very confused right now....

Well, well...
Mood:  happy
Topic: Everyday life
The day didn't start off too good. Woke up, after three hours of sleep, just to realize that all the things I'd planned to have for breakfast were inedible, stale or just really old. I had to try to make do with what I had. After that my stomach began to hurt, and when that was over I had 15 minutes to eat the damn breakfast and get dressed and all that... Luckily I just made it to the bus.
When I finally got off the bus I started to feel a bit better as I walked along the empty streets, listening to some classic rock tunes.
Well at the gym, things ran much more smoothly than expected. I even did what I've said I'll never do, I RAN on that stupid treadmill.
Bought a bunch of fruit and went home, smiling.

Re-runs?
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Tv
People keep complaining about all the re-runs during the summer, but I actually think it's kind of fun. It makes you watch things you'd never watch any other time, like Bleak House (your standard bbc Dicken's drama), Bullshit! (a mythbuster comedy programme with Penn & Teller), Secrets of the sexes (three part documentary about the biological and emotional differences of the sexes) and stupid documentaries like 'Fat Pets'.
I even managed to watch an episode of my favourite Reno 911 (a stupid mockumentary a la Cops) the other night (at 3.30 am).

Supernanny?
Mood:  chillin'
Topic: Books
I finished one more of those book-thingies. 'One child' by Torey Hayden. At first it seemed like it was written by one of those Supernannies, but then I got more into it. It all seemed too easy though. If it really works like that all kids would be rehabilitated without too much problem at all...

Let me sleep!
Mood:  don't ask
Now Playing: Crap
Topic: Everyday life
As usual , I couldn't sleep because of the heat and woke up nice and early around 5 am. Had a headache, because of the heat, all day. Then my mum bribed me (with food) to go with her into town. We got on the brand new bus, which of course smelled like brand new bus, and the I felt really sick.
We went to this new thairestaurant, but the food wasn't as expected, maybe next time... And we had to wait 40 minutes for dessert!
Then I was supposed to meet up with all my friends who'd begged me to stop by. I talked to one of them, the one I really hadn't expected to see, so that's a nice suprise but still...
Then followed fours hours of listening to crap bands and getting mosquito bites...and a back pain that's out of this world. At least I got a meat less burger at the end of the evening...
