Bush's speech.
Mood:  not sure
Topic: Politics
I watched Bush's last night, and I thought that he did a good job of delivering it...he only fumbled over three words...not bad for him.

I liked some of it...I thought most of what he said was either right on the money or was a "duh!" moment. His first part of us needing to secure the border...ya think so W? I mean, I thought that having illegals and possibly terrorists crossing our southern border was fine...it's been that way for decades, why change now? Oh yeah...that little thing called 9-11. But that was 5 years ago!!!! This shouldn't even be an issue by 2006...or borders should have been locked down tighter than my fridge would be if I invited Michael Moore over for a drink. (FYI - my drink would contain ice, Triple Sec, Tequila & Margarita mix...Michael Moore's would contain the same with a slight aftertaste of Drain-o!) :)

The temp guest worker program is a good idea. I mean, people are already coming over the border to work for a few years before returning to their homeland to be with their families. This way, we know who is coming in, we match them with a job, and then we can keep better track of them...and know when they are leaving. Sounds like a plan to me. At least this way we can legalize that portion of border crossers and make them into temporary tax payers also! Not to mention that we will...er...should know who and where they are.

But after listening to talk radio today...I'm kinda slipping on the "technology fence" thingy/idea. A good point was brought up that we supposedly used that in Iraq...and that is obviously working well, since the "insurgents" are actually foreign terrorists from Iran, Syria and other hostile nations over there. So with a track record like that...how could it NOT work over here??

My own $1M idea...
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Life
Wow...you get a two for one today! I'd normally back post something to an open day...but I thought I'd be a little rebellious today...enjoy the second post.

I've recently been trying to come up with a big time idea to make some money...you know, cause I'm currently uncareered?? And I remembered a story and a website that I caught wind of a few months ago. I decided to check it out again: www.milliondollarhomepage.com If you haven't heard of this site check it out.

The creator is Alex Tew, a 21 year old college student from England, who was trying to raise some money to pay for his college career. He decided to aim high...sell 1 million pixels for $1 apiece. He figured he might raise enough money to pay for a year or so...he ended up making $1,037,100!! The reason that he went over $1M is because he was extra brilliant and sold the last 1,000 pixels on eBay...they sold for $38,100...incredible.

Anyway, I thought I'd try something like that, but there thousands of copy cat sites out there and none of them are doing very well. So, I need to come up with a new idea instead. I'm trying to lock down some more ideas, but I think I may have something in the works!!

Another season of Survivor is done.
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Glenn Beck
Topic: TV
Aras won the $1M...although I think that Terry should have won it. I missed the episode where Terry won the car...or I would have known that he wouldn't win.

That is a strange curse that has stuck through the seasons. Whoever wins the car has never won the big prize.

Bush's International spying program!
Mood:  d'oh
Now Playing: Survivor: Exile Island Season Finale
Topic: Politics
Hell, the left and the media (some might say that they are the one and the same) claim that it's a "Domestic" spying program because half of the phone calls happen in the US...so since the other half of the phone calls happen outside of the US, I'm calling it the International spying program.

And now all these dumb ass Democratic Senators are complaining about a bill that they voted for in 1994 (under Clinton's administration), and saying that they didn't know anything about it. If they honestly didn't know about it...then they are admitting that they don't actually pay attention to the bills that they vote for. I think that makes great fodder in their next campaign...for their opponent!!

Glenn Beck
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: TV
I missed the first episode when it first aired, but I just happened to catch the replay as I was surfing the channels later that night. I have to say that the first night was a little strange...I liked some parts, but other parts kinda scared me.

However, I made a point to watch it at 7 last night, and I must say that I thought last night was much better. That could either be that Glenn was a little nervous the first night and not so much last night...or I now kinda had a frame of reference of what to expect.

Either way, I think I'll be trying to watch as much as possible!

Mood:  lazy
Topic: Life
We are at day 9 in Tampa...man is it nice to be back down here!!!

I just got my cable and Internet hooked up yesterday, and then setup my home network this morning, so that is why I've been away for the last week or so. Movin' is a bitch!

But I'm back now and should be posting regularly...regular for me anyway...very soon.

Testing
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Life
I had my TKD testing for my brown belt tonight...I did alright except for my round kick board break. It took three times, but I got it. My first try I was a little low, the second try I pulled the kick, but the third one was right on the money.

I'll pick up my new belt before leaving town!!

I was sitting here watching the game last night with my heart pounding like mad at the end of the game! And it was only game 2!!

I really hope that this series goes to six games...I'll be in town for game 6...hopefully I'll be able to score some tickets! And then we will need to win!!

We will be outta here in less than 10 days!! We are into single digits left on the countdown!!!

This town just seems to get worse and worse everyday...it's probably because the end is in sight and my patience is nearly gone.

I hate this town!
Mood:  don't ask
Topic: Life
Thursday night, poker night, my car got backed into...so now I have a big bent on the driver's side door. And the person that did it didn't have the sack to come inside and say anything.

Then, even though the UFC website said that the Hooters here was going to be showing the fights, when I drove up there...the place was dead. I asked if they were showing the fights and then I find out that they aren't.

If there was a sports bar with half a brain in this town, they'd show the fights and then advertise that they are the only place in town to see the fights!! They'd make a killing! But "brainless" is a good description of this town...I'm so glad we are leaving in 15 days!

I haven't been to Taekwondo much this testing cycle, I've only been like 4 times or so in the last 4 weeks, but I went last night.

Friday's are basically cardio night...there is a lot of sparring! So why I decided to go that night after missing so much...I'm not sure! But I am definitely hurting today!

27 days to go.
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Life
We went out of town this weekend...down to check out our living arrangements in Tampa.

It was nice...except for the part about us getting up in the morning, and the gas not being turned on...and therefore no hot water. That wasn't much fun...but then again, something very similar happened when we moved into our first house. On our first morning there, we had cold showers...because the water heater's power hadn't been hooked up!!
