Introduction to Internet Relay Chat (IRC):

This is by no means everything there is know to about IRC, but it can give you a place to start to learn more about IRC. Your experience on IRC depends on the network you choose and the users you interact with. In this guide, I generally use the ShadowFire IRC Network for examples, from Services to policies. I have also included survey responses from current IRC users to illustrate certain points. Please pay attention to those who have gone before you, it will save everyone a few headaches in the process. Everyone was a newbie once upon a time, some of us even remember what it was like :)
