Introduction to Internet Relay Chat (IRC):This is by no means everything there is know to about IRC, but it can give you a place to start to learn more about IRC. Your experience on IRC depends on the network you choose and the users you interact with. In this guide, I generally use the ShadowFire IRC Network for examples, from Services to policies. I have also included survey responses from current IRC users to illustrate certain points. Please pay attention to those who have gone before you, it will save everyone a few headaches in the process. Everyone was a newbie once upon a time, some of us even remember what it was like :) Hopefully, if you have any more questions about IRC beyond what is in this guide, you'll be able to connect to an IRC network to get them answered (or find me on ShadowFire to ask them).
