Mimi's Calendar Girl, TUX, March 2000

I'm so excited! My "Tux" is a year 2000 calendar girl! The Humane Society here in Montgomery, Alabama sponsored a pet photo contest in August 1999 with the pets getting the most votes to be on a calendar for the year 2000. The first place pet is the "Pet of the Millennium" and is featured on the cover of the calendar and then the runners up are "Pet of the Month" features. I entered a funny picture of Tux with her wearing pearls and a hat, not knowing how the general public would react. Well, Tux didn't even come close to first place (they had over 2900 votes) but she did get 581 votes, which put her in 6th place out of more than 280 entries. I am so proud of her. Tux is featured as "Pet of the Month" for March 2000.
