The Bad Guide

to the Greasy Spoon Cafes of Birmingham

MENU

Rosa's Cafe, 113 Albert Street

.....................Exterior, Albert Street.........................................................Opening times...........................

Rosa's Cafe and its white net curtains stand in the way of progress, in Birmingham City Council plans the whole area will be cleared for new Eastside high-tech mixed used developments, i.e. apartments for the rich and offices to provide jobs for people commuting from Worcester and Hereford, plus a few extra cleaning and security posts for the locals.

It's quite good and cheaper than anywhere else in the nearby bland monolith of Millenium Point. The elderly staff keep this place open for long hours. Often empty, many students and post men eat here. The net curtains give the appearance it's actually someone's house.
