Messages, Letters and Proclamations of Support

Global Peace Walk Project

These letters, messages, and proclamations in support of the prayer for "Global Peace Now" as the universal human resolve, were accumulated and carried across country by the Global Peace Walks of 1995 and 2000.

Those collected in 1995 were hand delivered to the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations on October 26, 1995, in a nuclear disarmament related conference at the United Nations as witnessed by conference participant Western Shoshone Spiritual Leader Corbin Harney, of the Shundahai Network , who also conducted the send-off ceremony for the Global Peace Walk 2000 when it departed January 15, 2000 (from the San Francisco site of the June 26, 1945, "beginning of the United Nations Organization" when the UN Charter was signed to be later ratified on October 24, 1945).

That Year 2000 the Global Peace Walk delivered its accumulated messages on arrival walking to Washington, DC, and then to the United Nations, to inaugurate the 2000-2009 International Decade of Creating a Culture of Peace for the 21st Century and marking the mid-year of the 1995-2004 International Decade of The World's Indigenous Peoples.
