Due to huge amounts of rainforests that are being destroyed daily, there are some people who are trying to save rainforests. There are some organizations that let you buy an acre or more of land. With this, each person can help stop some of the rainforests from being depleted. Also, people plant new trees and care for them constantly. Some organizations also ask for money donations that go for helping the rainforests, such as buying trees or buying land. At one point, there use to be 6 million square miles of rainforests, now there's about about 2.6 million square miles left. If it continues at this rate, we won't have rainforests in the next 20 years. This is a big reason why people are trying to save them in many forms. |
