Mayan Religion

For many religions, including the Maya's, believed that a vital force separated the living from the dead. This was termed the conecpt of "ik," or wind, life or breath. They believe that sacrificing humans were ways to get rid of the sins of humans themselves.

The Mayans believe in blood sacrifice. The creator God was called Hunab Ku, and there were also other Gods. The maya ballcourt was also related to their religion, it was said that the Mayan Hero Twins and the Gods of Death battled in the ballcourt as a ceremony to deal with problems. The Halach Unic was also consider "from God" and is leader of the government and religion.
