“Basketball on Grass” or “Fast break Football” or whatever you want to call it Simon Kenton and Highlands played the score board like a pinball arcade tonight as Simon Kenton defeated the Bluebirds by a score of 77-53.  Simon Kenton recorded 752 yards of total offense and Highlands rolled up 642 yards tonight.  Simon Kenton was penalized four times for 40 yards and Highlands was flagged five times for 71 yards.

Cameron Racke led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 134 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.  Jon Sergent carried the ball 10 times for 80 yards.  Cameron Racke completed 20 of 24 passes for 336 yards and six touchdowns.  Matt Shearer completed four of six passes for 148 yards and a touchdown with one touchdown.  Sam Murray caught five passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns.  Luke Vance caught nine passes for 157 yards and three touchdowns.  Fisher Hayden added three receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown.  Brian Carter led the defense with 11 solo and nine assisted tackles.  Gavin Ball added five solo and five assisted tackles and Elijah Jackson chipped in with two solo and eight assisted tackles.

Jared Pulsfort led Highlands’ ground game with 116 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries.  Grant Murray carried the ball 23 times for 106 yards.  Brady Gosney completed 29 of 44 passes for 394 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Nick Veneman caught four passes for 141 yards and three touchdowns.  Braden Posey added seven receptions for 65 yards.  Trent Buchert also caught seven passes for 65 yards.  Jared Wogan caught three passes for 40 yards and a touchdown.

Dunbar pulled away from a 21-21 tie in the third quarter to defeat an injury depleted Anderson County squad by a score of 40-21 to pick up their second victory of the season.  Dunbar recorded 21 first downs and 385 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized 12 times for 188 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  Anderson County recorded six first downs and 224 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized 10 times for 170 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Alex Bard led Dunbar’s ground game with 66 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.  Gavin Bugg completed 20 of 29 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Tre Homer caught eight passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.  Markel Yeast added six receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown.  Isaiah Yeast added five receptions for 56 yards.  Tyler Browning led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles.  Carter Hayslett added three solo and three assisted tackles.  Isaiah Yeast recorded three solo and one assisted tackles, recovered a fumble he returned 68 yards for a touchdown, and intercepted a pass. 

Bryndon Labhart led Anderson County’s ground game with 76 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.  Tyler Peters carried the ball eight times for 37 yards.  Tyler Peters completed nine of 23 passes for 98 yards with one interception.  Dalton Lewis caught five passes for 60 yards.  Bryndon Labhart led the defense with 10 solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Andrew Chilton added five solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Clay Bowman recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 20 yards.  Zach Labhart added four solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 31 yards for a touchdown.

Lexington Christian Academy continues to roll with a 64-16 victory over Fairview tonight.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 22 first downs and 496 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized six times for 50 yards.  Fairview recorded four first downs and 84 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 15 yards and lost a fumble.

Dillon Wheatley led LCA’s ground game with 126 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Trey Sparks carried the ball 14 times for 79 yards and a touchdown.  Logan Nieves added 53 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Brayden Miller completed nine of 11 passes for 160 yards and three touchdowns.  Jed Green caught three passes for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Caelan Lebryk added three receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Drayden Burton caught three passes for 26 yards and a touchdown.  Caelan Lebryk returned two punts for 68 yards including a touchdown of 58 yards.  Dearious Smith returned one punt for 54 yards.  Trey Sparks returned one kickoff for 39 yards.  Will McClurg led the defense with two solo and six assisted tackles.  Blane Hardin added four solo and one assisted tackles.  Clay Elliot also scored on a fumble recovery.

Trevor Hutcinson led Fairview’s ground game with five yards on nine carries.  Mason McIntyre completed six of 13 passes for 81 yards and one touchdown.  Bradon Wilburn caught a 40 yard touchdown pass.  Isaac Campbell added a 38 yard reception.  Austin Callahan returned three kickoffs for 112 yards including a 73 yard return for a touchdown.  Bradon Wilburn led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Nick Lambert added five solo and two assisted tackles.

Madison Central continues their strong defensive efforts as they held Woodford County to 44 yards in a 42-0 shit out victory over Woodford County.  Madison Central recorded nine first downs and 343 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized five times for 41 yards.  Woodford County recorded seven first downs and 44 yards of total offense.  The Yellow Jackets were not penalized but lost two fumbles and had a pass intercepted.

Jabari Huguely led Madison Central’s ground game with 71 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Gavin Hulberg carried the ball twice for 51 yards and a touchdown.  Zach Hardin completed six of 12 passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns.  Ethan Hahn caught three passes for 56 yards and a touchdown.  Keenan Miller and Evin Harris added touchdown receptions of 50 and 46 yards respectively.  KJ Long returned four punts for 67 yards with a long return of 32 yards.  Landon White kicked off eight times with seven touchbacks.  KJ Long led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles.  Tristan Moorehead added two solo and six assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  K. Houlihan recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards.  Kenton Humphrey and Michael Holland each recovered a fumble.

Malik Richards led Woodford County’s ground game with 41 yards on 18 carries.  Domynik Johnson carried the ball six times for 26 yards.  Malik Richards completed four of 11 passes for 20 yards with one interception.  Domynik Johnson caught two passes for 16 yards.  Max Andreoni led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Graham Kain added three solo and one assisted tackles.

Scott County opened the game with an 86 yard kickoff return by Brice Fryman and never looked back on their way to a 55-13 victory over George Rogers Clark.  Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 312 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were not penalized tonight but lost four fumbles.  George Rogers Clark recorded 11 first downs and 195 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized four times for 19 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Kyle Jackson led the Scott County ground game with one carry for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Kendrick Hamilton carried the ball four times for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Caleb Demus added 26 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Josh Davis completed three of three passes for 126 yards.  Glenn Covington caught three passes for 126 yards.  Brice Fryman returned one kickoff for 86 yards and a touchdown.  Matt Fannin returned two kickoffs for 67 yards with a long return of 48 yards.  Zane Wilson led the defense with two solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.  Berk Watts added two solo and two assisted tackles.  Cooper Robb intercepted two passes and returned on of his picks 92 yards for a touchdown.  Bryce Lawson also scored a touchdown on a blocked punt return.

Will Henry led George Rogers Clark’s ground game with 66 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Ohmante Jenkins carried the ball 10 times for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Will Henry completed nine of 25 passes for 47 yards with two interceptions.  Chandler Gray and Harrison Crum each caught two passes for 10 yards.  Ohmante Jenkins added one reception for 12 yards.  Nitavius Thomas led the defense with three solo and one assisted tackles.  Nick Willoughby added two solo and three assisted tackles and returned a fumble 30 yards.  Tayzon Stewart, Marcus Wiseman, and Bradley Shook also recovered fumbles.

Lafayette dominated on both sides of the ball on their way to a 55-6 victory over Henry Clay.  Lafayette recorded 23 first downs and 401 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 12 times for 164 yards.  Henry Clay recorded 10 first downs and 83 yards of total offense including -48 yards on the ground.  The Blue Devils were penalized five times for 31 yards, lost fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Cameron Morgan led Lafayette’s ground game with 101 yards on 12 carries.  Walker Wood carried the ball eight times for 37 yards and two touchdowns.  Jaylen Lawson recorded 31 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Walker Wood completed 17 of 31 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns.  Quinten Brown caught five passes for 103 yards.  Zak Sherman added four receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown.  M. Guilfoil recorded three receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown.  Teandre Newcome returned two punts for 75 yards with a long return of 69 yards.  Cameron Morgan returned two kickoffs for 88 yards with a long return of 56 yards.  Brendan Lane led the defense with three solo tackles with his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards and intercepted a pass.  Jadus Smith added two solo and one assisted tackles.  Bryson Hallett also intercepted a pass and Ean Shaw recovered a fumble.

Greg Couch completed three of 12 passes for 67 yards and a touchdown with one interception for Henry Clay.  Beau Carroll completed two of nine passes for 48 yards with one interception.  M.
