(IL). 6-2 senior Zach Fisher of Monticello (IL) was RU-MVP while the Top Underclassman Award went to 5-10 junior Jaronde' Boyd of Michigan City (IN). Stay tuned for more results.

Scott County 65  Lafayette 46Keith Guy led Scott County with 223 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries.  Noah Hughes carried the ball 27 times for 172 yards and three touchdowns.  Lafayette was led by Walker Wood who completed 13 of 24 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns and carried the ball 11 times for 143 yards and a touchdown.  Mason Alstatt carried the ball 16 times for 183 yards and a touchdown.

 

Bryan Station 54  Meade County 14Andre Davis completed 17 of 25 passes for 298 yards and four touchdowns and carried the ball eight times for 48 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Tates Creek 30  Madison Southern 20Peyton Burke completed 13 of 22 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns and Sakima Opsal recorded eight solo and five assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards.  Payton Skidmore starred for Madison Southern as he carried the ball 13 times for 104 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass for 65 yards and a touchdown.

 

Lexington Catholic 41  Madison Central 0QB Jack Fagot completed 23 of 31 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns.  Donovan Morris caught 10 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Henry Clay 50  Knox Central 26 Joquise Buford ran for three touchdowns to lead Henry Clay.

Walton-Verona handed Lexington Christian Academy their first loss of the season by a score of 28-27.  Walton-Verona led 13-0 after the first quarter but Lexington Christian Academy rallied to lead 27-13 after three quarters.  Walton-Verona scored 15 unanswered points in the final quarter to earn the victory.  The winning touchdown and two point conversion came with 1:25 left on the clock.  Walton-Verona recorded 16 first downs and 331 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 26 yards, lost two fumbles and had a pass intercepted.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 15 first downs and 275 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized five times for 52 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Halsey Page led Walton-Verona’s ground game with 176 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries.  Noah Richardson carried the ball 15 times for 146 yards and one touchdown.  Jared Poore completed one of five passes for seven yards with one interception.  Noah Richardson caught one pass for seven yards.  Hunter Ruber led the defense with three solo and eight assisted tackles.  Jacob Stammer added one solo and 11 assisted tackles.  Jared Poore recorded one solo and seven assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Halsey Page and Scott Pettyjohn also intercepted one pass each.

Dillon Wheatley led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 113 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.  Brayden Miller completed 14 of 25 passes for 147 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions.  Ryan Stucky caught six passes for 69 yards.  Kyle Paske added five receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown.  Brett Wilkins led the defense with seven solo and seven assisted tackles.  Kyle Paske added five solo and four assisted tackles.  Wade Drake recorded one solo and 10 assisted tackles.  Paxton Charles intercepted a pass.

Franklin County capitalized on six Anderson County turnovers and the fact that Anderson County did not convert on any extra points after touchdowns tonight to earn a 33-30 victory.  Franklin County was far from flawless tonight as they turned over the ball three times.  Franklin County recorded 15 first downs and 298 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized seven times for 46 yards and had three passes intercepted.  Anderson County recorded 18 first downs and 334 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized five times for 27 yards, lost four fumbles and had two passes intercepted.

Barrett Sanderson led Franklin County’s ground game with 61 yards on 17 carries.  Denzell Vance carried the ball 12 times for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Barrett Sanderson completed 22 of 32 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions.  DeMarcus Kennedy caught seven passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns.  Jeremiah Green added five receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown.  Landon Hurst caught four passes for 33 yards.  Jhanny Rodriguez led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles and scored on a 44 yard interception return.  Brian Allen also recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.  Sam Anderson recorded three solo and two assisted tackles and recovered two fumbles.

Brydon Labhart led Anderson County’s ground game with 103 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.  Gunner Gillis carried the ball eight times for 62 yards.  Gunner Gillis completed 14 of 25 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  JP Garmon caught five passes for 48 yards.  Brydon Labhart added four receptions for 30 yards.  Tyler Peters recorded three receptions for 62 yards.  Cobe Penny caught a 16 yard touchdown pass.  Brydon Labhart led the defense with 10 solo and three assisted tackles.  JP Garmon added eight solo tackles and intercepted two passes, one that he returned 60 yards for a touchdown.  Ian Chilton and Braxton Bostic each recorded six solo and one assisted tackles.

Tates Creek defeated Madison Southern 30-20 tonight in a game in which Madison Southern out gained them 444-297 in total yardage.  Tates Creek recorded 17 first downs and 297 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized once for 11 yards.  Madison Southern recorded 20 first downs and 444 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized six times for 65 yards, lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted.

Jaren Shelby led Tates Creek’s ground game with 39 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Darryl Bell carried the ball eight times for 35 yards.  Peyton Burke recorded 34 yards on five carries.  Peyton Burke completed 13 of 22 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns.  Turner Gentry caught four passes for 68 yards.  Jackson Beerman added three receptions for 54 yards and two touchdowns.  Robbie Lofton caught a five yard touchdown pass.  Sakima Opsal led the defense with eight solo and five assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards.  Jerrod Martin added five solo and five assisted tackles.  Kaden Young recorded five solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Payton Skidmore led Madison Southern’s ground attack with 104 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Carter Smith carried the ball 12 times for 75 yards.  Landon Stacy recorded 60 yards on 10 carries.  Aaron Slone completed seven of 11 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Payton Skidmore and Carter Smith caught touchdown passes of 65 and 51 yards respectively.  Carter Smith led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Matthew Devere added two solo and four assisted tackles.  Nathaniel Eads and Jared Simpson recorded four solo and one assisted tackles respectively.
