Tates Creek defeated Madison Southern 30-20 tonight in a game in which Madison Southern out gained them 444-297 in total yardage.  Tates Creek recorded 17 first downs and 297 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized once for 11 yards.  Madison Southern recorded 20 first downs and 444 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized six times for 65 yards, lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted.

Jaren Shelby led Tates Creek’s ground game with 39 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Darryl Bell carried the ball eight times for 35 yards.  Peyton Burke recorded 34 yards on five carries.  Peyton Burke completed 13 of 22 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns.  Turner Gentry caught four passes for 68 yards.  Jackson Beerman added three receptions for 54 yards and two touchdowns.  Robbie Lofton caught a five yard touchdown pass.  Sakima Opsal led the defense with eight solo and five assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards.  Jerrod Martin added five solo and five assisted tackles.  Kaden Young recorded five solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Payton Skidmore led Madison Southern’s ground attack with 104 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Carter Smith carried the ball 12 times for 75 yards.  Landon Stacy recorded 60 yards on 10 carries.  Aaron Slone completed seven of 11 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Payton Skidmore and Carter Smith caught touchdown passes of 65 and 51 yards respectively.  Carter Smith led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Matthew Devere added two solo and four assisted tackles.  Nathaniel Eads and Jared Simpson recorded four solo and one assisted tackles respectively.

Paul Laurence Dunbar won their second game in a row with a 41-8 victory over Jeffersontown tonight.  Dunbar recorded 15 first downs and 349 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized six times for 79 yards and lost a fumble.  Jeffersontown recorded five first downs and 88 yards of total offense.  The Chargers were penalized five times for 24 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Jefferson Harkless led Dunbar’s ground game with 132 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  LaDarius Morton carried once for 73 yards and a touchdown.  DeRante Sanders recorded 54 yards and two touchdowns on three carries.  Nate Gay carried the ball eight times for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Tre Homer completed two of four passes for 37 yards.  LaDarius Morton and Dontell Brown each caught one pass for 19 and 18 yards respectively.  Carter Hayslett and K. Thompson led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles each.  LaDarius Morton recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.

Dylan Adkins led Jeffersontown’s ground game with 15 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Dylan Adkins completed seven of 15 passes for 85 yards with one interception.  Dakota White caught three passes for 56 yards.  D. Travis led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles.  Joshua Ellery added four solo and one assisted tackles.

Henry Clay defeated Knox Central by a score of 50-26.  Henry Clay recorded 19 first downs and 376 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized six times for 50 yards, lost a fumble and had two passes intercepted.  Knox Central recorded 10 first downs and 178 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 63 yards. 

Austin Bledsoe led Henry Clay’s ground game with 87 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Davonte Robinson carried the ball twice for 77 yards and a touchdown.  Joquise Buford recorded 60 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries.  CJ Tackett completed six of nine passes for 77 yards and a touchdown.  Marcus Tyler completed four of five passes for 37 yards with one interception.  DeMarcus Tyler caught three passes for 27 yards.  Tyven McWhorter added three receptions for 20 yards and a touchdown.  Joquise Buford caught two passes for 20 yards and Austin Bledsoe added a reception for 33 yards.  Tyven McWhorter returned a punt 56 yards for a touchdown.  Davonte Robinson led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Cassius Smith added four solo and four assisted tackles.  Ray Kart Irving chipped in with four solo and three assisted tackles.  Keyshawn Johnson-Sanders recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.

Jaxon Stewart led Knox Central’s ground game with 104 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries.  Donavan Arthur carried the ball 10 times for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Jaxon Stewart completed two of seven passes for -4 yards.  Jermel Carton led the defense with five solo tackles Matthew Smith and Jeremy Stewart each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.  Casey Patterson added two solo and two assisted tackles and score on a 23 yard interception return.

Lexington Catholic back up QB Kirk Fagot threw for three touchdowns and the defense shutout Madison Central to earn a 41-0 victory.  Lexington Catholic recorded 24 first downs and 445 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized four times for 30 yards.  Madison Central recorded 10 first downs and 209 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized seven times for 39 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Jaylen Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 100 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries.  Kirk Fagot completed 23 of 31 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns.  Donovan Morris caught 10 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns.  JJ Ogbogu caught six passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.  Andy Thompson added two receptions for 57 yards.  Jack Fagot led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Andy Hickey added five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Eli Mitchell recorded four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Eric Sottile and Zach Owsley also recovered fumbles and Zach Hayden and Austin Pedroche each intercepted a pass.

Johan Williams led Madison Central’s ground game with 54 yards on 12 carries.  Keenan Miller carried the ball once for 40 yards.  Zach Hardin completed 11 of 19 passes for 112 yards with two interceptions.  Lawrence Lee Jr. caught five passes for 29 yards.  Dante Altamirano and Cameron David led the defense with six solo tackles each.  Korrion Crier added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Jared Grant recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss.

Bryan Station rolled up 527 yards of total offense in a 54-14 victory.  Bryan Station recorded 28 first downs and 527 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized 10 times for 123 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Meade County recorded 10 first downs and 161 yards of total offense.  The Green Wave was penalized seven times for 50 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Devon Key led Bryan Station’s ground game with 100 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Andre Davis carried the ball eight times for 48 yards and two touchdowns.  Andre Davis completed 17 of 25 passes for 298 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  K-CI Carmichael caught four passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns.  Terrance Murphy added three receptions for 73 yards.  Desmond Bernard caught three passes for 59 yards.  Rafael Few recorded three receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown.  Devon Key added three receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown.  James Bryant led the defense with eight solo tackles.  Marquis Smith added five solo and one assisted tackles with one fumble recovery.  Shane Preston and Romel Croley recorded five solo tackles and Croley recovered a fumble.  Devon Key and K-CI Carmichael each intercepted a pass with return yardage of 30 and 28 yards respectively.

John Millay led Meade County’s defense with 57 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  John Millay completed two of 10 passes for 45 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Levi Hurt caught a 31 yard touchdown pass.  Zach Babb returned three kickoffs for 132 yards with a long return of 64 yards.  Levi Hurt returned five kickoffs for 145 yards with a long return of 61 yards.  Kevin Millay led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.  Mack Wilson added five solo tackles.  Johnny Lee, Cody Janes, and Jordan Childers each recorded four solo tackles.  John Millay intercepted a pass that he returned 15 yards.

Scott County outscored Lafayette 21-6 in the final quarter to earn a 65-46 victory in the latest installment of basketball-on-grass in the Bluegrass.  Tonight the teams combined for 111 points, 49 first downs, and 1155 yards of total offense.  They also combined for 861 yards on the ground and 12 touchdowns.  Penalty flags flew all night as the teams combined for 27 penalties for 281 yards.  Scott County recorded 25 first downs and 574 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 16 times for 150 yards.  Lafayette recorded 24 first downs and 581 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 11 times for 131 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.

Keith Guy led the Scott County ground game with 223 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries.  Noah Hughes added 172 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries.  Kendrick Hamilton carried the ball eight times for 81 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Davis completed two of six passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Glenn Covington caught two passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Tyler Dummer kicked off 11 times with eight touchbacks.  Tyler Braxton led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles.  Eric Abney added five solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Gabe Hobson recorded to solo and five assisted tackles.

Mason Alstatt led Lafayette’s ground game with 183 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  Walker Wood carried the ball 11 times for 143 yards and a touchdown.  Walker Wood completed 13 of 24 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Quinten Brown caught six passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns.  Matthew Guilfoil added four receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Dekwan Edwards caught two passes for 66 yards.  Cameron Morgan led the defense with seven solo tackles.  Javarus Blair added five solo and four assisted tackles.
