Dixie Heights coach Joel Steczynski started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Carson Smith, 5-9 Sr. Celia Pelfrey, 5-10 So. Madelyn Lawson, 5-6 Fr. Samantha Berman, and 5-7 Jr. Sydney Lockard.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-11 So. Jazmin Chambers, 5-6 Sr. Jasmine Simpson, 5-10 So. Patience Laster, 5-2 So. Neveah Carter, and 5-6 Jr. Brooklynn Miles.

 

Franklin County defeated Dixie Heights by a score of 76-38.  Franklin County shot 52.5% from the field including seven of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 21 Dixie Heights turnovers.  Dixie Heights shot 27.6% from the field including three of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Colonels connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored two points off 12 Franklin County turnovers.

 

Brooklynn Miles led Franklin County with 26 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  Jazmin Chambers added 17 points and five rebounds.  Jasmine Simpson recorded 15 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals.  Neveah Carter chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds.  Patience Laster added four points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

 

Celia Pelfrey led Dixie Heights with eight points.  Sydney Lockard added seven points and three rebounds.  5-6 Jr. Makenzie Steely recorded six points and three rebounds.  Madelyn Lawson chipped in with four points, six rebounds, and two steals.
