Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Harris Hawkins, 6-3 Jr. Marques Warrick, 6-5 Jr. Jackson Phillips, 5-10 Sr. Ramond Jackson, and 6-1 Sr. Keaston Brown.  Frankfort coach Chris O’Bryan countered with 6-2 Jr. Chaz Austin, 5-11 Jr. Will O’Bryan, 6-6 Sr. John Tillman, 6-0 Sr. DaJuan Davis, and 6-2 Sr. Juanya Frank.

 

Frankfort defeated Henry Clay by a score of 92-80.  Henry Clay led 30-23 after the first quarter but Frankfort rallied to lead 44-42 at halftime.  Frankfort outscored  Henry Clay 25-15 to gain control of the game.  Frankfort shot 57.1% from the field including nine of 18 from the three point line.  The Panthers connected on 19 of 24 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 50% from the field including 12 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 18 of 20 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 10 Frankfort turnovers.

 

Juanya Frank led Frankfort with 30 points including four three point baskets, six of six free throws, four rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  John Tillman added 17 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals.  Will O’Bryan recorded 15 points including three three point baskets.  DaJuan Davis chipped in with 12 points, four rebounds, and five assists.  Chaz Austin also reached double figures with 11 points.

 

Marques Warrick led Henry Clay with 29 points including four three point baskets and seven of eight free throws.  Keaston Brown added 27 points including seven three point baskets, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Jr. Marquis Mackey recorded 14 points.  Harris Hawkins pulled down 12 rebounds.
