Scott County vs. Ballard (Boys)

Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Bryce Long, 6-0 Jr. Lorenzo Williams, 6-7 Jr. Michael Moreno, 5-8 Jr. Cam Fluker, and 5-9 Jr. Diablo Stewart.  Ballard coach Chris Renner countered with 6-2 Sr. Marshon Ford, 6-2 Sr. Dorian Tisby, 6-3 Sr. Delonta Wimberly, 5-10 Sr. Tyrese Duncan, and 5-10 Sr. Tyron Duncan.

 

Scott County trailed 23-9 in the first quarter but rallied to defeat Ballard by a score of 69-63.  Scott County shot 37.7% from the field including three of 20 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 26 of 35 free throws, pulled down 57 rebounds, and scored five points of 15 Ballard turnovers.  Ballard shot 35.9% from the field including zero of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Bruins connected on 17 of 26 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 25 Scott County turnovers.

 

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 18 points, 18 rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals.  6-2 Sr. Cooper Robb added 16 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.  Bryce Long recorded 11 points and six rebounds.  5-11 Jr. Glenn Covington chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds.  Lorenzo Williams recorded four rebounds, and three steals.

 

Dorian Tisby led Ballard with 15 points and six rebounds.  Tyrese Duncan added 11 points, six rebounds, and seven steals.  Tyrone Duncan added nine points and two steals.
