Eastern Kentucky University vs. Brigham Young University

Eastern Kentucky University coach Jeff Neubauer started the following lineup; 6-7 Sr. Timmy Knipp, 6-7 Jr. Ja’Mill Powell, 6-8 Sr. Eric Stutz, 6-2 Sr. Corey Walden, and 6-2 So. Isaac McGlone.  Brigham Young University coach Dave Rose countered with 6-11 Sr. Nate Austin, 6-6 Jr. Kyle Collinsworth, 6-11 Fr. Isaac Neilson, 6-3 Jr. Chase Fischer, and 6-5 Sr. Tyler Haws.

Brigham Young led 32-30 at halftime and pulled away in the second half to earn a 90-76 victory over previously undefeated Eastern Kentucky.  Brigham Young shot 58.2% from the field including 15 of 28 from the three point line.  The Cougars connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 17 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 49% from the field including nine of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 19 Brigham Young turnovers.

Tyler Haws led Brigham Young with 26 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.  Chase Fischer added 20 points including four three point baskets.  6-3 Sr. Anson Winder recorded 19 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Kyle Collinsworth chipped in with 11 points and five assists.  6-1 Sr. Skyler Halford added nine points on three three point baskets.

Ja’Mill Powell led Eastern Kentucky with 26 points including four three point baskets.  Corey Walden added 15 points including nine of 10 free throws and seven assists.  Timmy Knipp added 10 points and five rebounds.  Eric Stutz also recorded 10 points.

Brigham Young     32 58 – 90
