Allen County-Scottsville coach Brad Bonds started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Morgan Rich, 5-8 So. Savannah Gregory, 6-1 Jr. Holly Robinson, 5-7 Sr. Katie Young, and 5-7 So. Jordan Brooks. Bowling Green coach LaVonda Johnson countered with 5-10 So. Oneisha Turner, 5-8 Jr. Keely Vincent, 5-10 Sr. Makayla Gray, 5-7 So. Deja Moore, and 5-7 Jr. Gabrielle Pruitt.
Bowling Green led 30-29 at halftime but Allen County-Scottsville outscored the Lady Purples 19-6 in the third quarter on their way to a 58-48 victory. Allen County-Scottsville shot 48.1% from the field including one of five from the three point line. They connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 20 Bowling Green turnovers. Bowling Green shot 41.7% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc. They connected on only five of 14 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 20 Allen County-Scottsville turnovers.
Savannah Gregory led Allen County-Scottsville with 18 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Holly Robinson added 15 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. Morgan Rich recorded 14 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Oneisha Turner led Bowling Green with 18 points and three steals. Makayla Gray added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Deja Moore chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets. Keely Vincent added eight points and Gabrielle Pruitt pulled down six rebounds.
