Larue County coach Travis Wootton started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Ivy Brown, 5-11 Jr. Alyson Yingling, 6-1 Sr. Allison Evans, 5-6 So. Delany Eastridge, and 5-10 Jr. Alexis Brewer. Elizabethtown coach Tim Mudd countered with 6-2 So. Erin Boley, 5-8 Jr. Darien Huff, 6-2 Jr. Reauna Cleaver, 5-7 So. Rachel Warden, and 5-9 Jr. Livie Bowling.
Larue County defeated Elizabethtown by a score of 65-58. Elizabethtown raced out to an 18-8 lead but Larue County outscored Elizabethtown 21-7 in the second quarter to take a 33-25 halftime lead. Elizabethtown cut the deficit to two; 45-43 after three quarters. Larue County outscored Elizabethtown 20-15 in the final quarter to earn a 65-58 victory. There were three lead changes and five ties in this game.
Larue County shot 44.6% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Hawks connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Elizabethtown turnovers. Elizabethtown shot 42.9% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Panthers connected on 30 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Larue County turnovers.
Ivy Brown led Larue County with 27 points and 18 rebounds. Alexis Brewer added 19 points and five rebounds. Alyson Yingling recorded 10 points.
Erin Boley led Elizabethtown with 29 points including three three point baskets and 14 rebounds. Darien Huff added 14 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists. Reauna Cleaver recorded 11 points and seven rebounds.
